New Nation - Android - 01-08-2011

Hello all! I am now thinking about creating a nation that will lead Droidopolis and any other cities wishing to join. Droidopolis will be the capitol and the center of the nation. Unlike Droidopolis, I do not wish to name this nation after myself, rather let the public decide the name. Please suggest any names here. Anybody can post. I will pick whatever one I feel suits the nation. Remember though, I may pick something other than what is posted here.

Sevenaer? That's the way the city i live in was spelled a few hundred years ago. Also is Gelre nice. That was one of the states of the netherlands. About your politics system, how are you going to do it? If you do it like the netherlands in the past would be a nice system. But because almost nobody really know the history of the netherlands i'll explain. The netherlands fought themselves free from fillips 2, the spanish king. Then they went searching for a new king but everybody was afraid of fillips 2 of spain, because spain was the biggest empire then. Then the states of the netherlands decided to be a republic, they were one of the first in europe. And whats the point (and that's how i think the empire in this game should be runned) is that every state had his own power. They got there own law exept some really important rules. Those rules are chosen by a group of people, al from a different city or castle in the empire and they are going about foreign politics and standard things.

Thank you for the suggestions first of all. Now, the political system, I was thinking something like that. Where the core rules would have to be followed but things such as the building code would be decided by the mayor. I also couldn't force that mayor to have a cabinet but would leave it highly recommended.

If i was you i really would force that. In the netherlands was it kinda like this (for a state, but you can use it for a city or castle) A represention of the people, church and (don't know how to say it but we now it as adel (people with important blood Laugh)) They chose a guy who was the boss of the army and a guy who was more boss about the city itself and had more influance at things like laws and stuff. The whole netherlands where ruled by a represantion of all that places. So all the bosses of army, and the other guy, and 3 guys from the goverment. They decide about really important laws and foreign policy. If you do something like this you have to have 1 army ruler, 1 city ruler and 10 other goverment guys. In a castle something about 1 guy for the castle and army. And 5 people in the goverment.

We'll see. My only concern is that I don't want each city having a separate militia.

Let them have there own protection. But make a system of that an officer has all power in a city (or 2 officers) and they have to listen to a higher rank (total 3 of them) who control a little region of a city, 2 villages and a castle and they have to listen to the general. So they fix there little guarding by themselves but if there's war they all have to listen to the general.

You mean one city for everyone?
