I actually agree with crash here. Have some wood/planks/sticks around and just use nearest workbench to make some iron hoes. Iron is way too common. Might make it like 15% and also taking some extra time.

RE: Locks and lockpicks - DjFuzz - 12-04-2011

Also we could but its not needed that we could make diffrent hoes have diffrent speeds for the process.
Yotta beat me to the point :0

Well lets expand the idea then

Iron 9% sucess rate, Would take 150 Seconds
Gold 31 % sucess rate, would take 120 seconds
Diamond 57 % sucess rate, would take 60 seconds

I have no problem with diamond having a success rate of like 70% even. How often do you go through a chest that has content worth more than 2 diamonds inside it?

But regardless of what pick is used, after it is used - failed or successful - it should break.

And if you are coding this, make sure enchantments on the picks don't bug up the system (just a thought).

respect has been born

I was thinking and i was wondering if we should make it so shop chests would be able to be picklocked, If so i think that there should be a much lower Percent of sucess as they would have lots of fairly good items inside.

I disagree with this.
Since you have a sign on a chest. If it says (6 diamonds for 2 gold). Etc. That person would know, picking this chest would be worth a diamond hoe. They are getting more out of it.

Who would sell for that price anyway Tongue

Any way i was thinking and i came up with a idea, i think that picklocking a shop chest should be allowed But of you so pick lock it then you only get one set of whqt its selling (like a shop is selling 64 arrows for 2g then of the chest is pocklocked theb you dont get the entire chest of arrpws just that ammount for 2g) and that the sucess rate should be halfed for shop chest then chest with locks.

Sorry for grammar and spelling mistakes Im using my Ipod and it os late here and im tired. D:

You're just making it too complicated Dj. Let's leave the shops the way they are.

Ok :3 but I still think that we should have different locks from different ores like I said earlier.

RE: Locks and lockpicks - Crashlander04 - 12-05-2011
