The game is very intense on your, CPU and GPU. But I seem fine to use it, and able to use my computer for other things aswell while playing. Or having the game running.
But then again my PC has a higher spec then some, so it depends on you're PC and what specs you have.

Ok, so I just garnered a nice $20 in my Steam Wallet. My question is if this game is worth buying so I can play this?
I enjoy my fair shares of shooters and FPSes, as well as Zombie Survival games. But I really want to know what makes this more appealing over, say, Left 4 Dead or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?

Day z is not your average zombie FPS, it is an ultra realistic zombie Apocalypse game. It has everything from hunger to temperature, it is like nothing I have ever experienced before. The game play takes realism to a whole new level; I highly recommend it. Also, you need $30 for it as it requires Arma II combined operations.

Yep, it's more of an apocalypse simulator than a zombie game.
