I hadn't played any of them until yesterday. Got Oblivion off the steam summer sale. Not sure which one is best, either Morrowind or Oblivion. Oblivion is the newest one so you might want to get that. RE: Elder Scrolls Master Thread! - Sir Prize - 08-14-2011 Morrowind is a lot better, but also a lot more hardcore... And it has a dice roll combat system, so a lot of people get worked up over that. The real question you want to ask yourself is... Are you a console fag or PC fag? RE: Elder Scrolls Master Thread! - Naamandre3 - 08-14-2011 I'm a pc fag for sure. Will check summer sale thing when i get back tommorow. Thanks for the heads up! Then it is Morrowind for you, unless you don't mind the bad graphics and the dice roll system. RE: Elder Scrolls Master Thread! - yottabyte - 08-14-2011 The summer sale was over a long time ago. Oblivion is 19.99€ on steam now RE: Elder Scrolls Master Thread! - Naamandre3 - 08-14-2011 ![]() Torrent.. I mean whut? These forums need a like function for the fact you just posted. Naam breaks millions of hearts with his absolute 0 knowledge of The Elder Scrolls. (Oh just quick, a LOT of people refer to the series as Oblivion, because apparently half the Xbox-hugging Soap McTavish fanboys don't know how to read the cover of a game they're ragging on ![]() RE: Elder Scrolls Master Thread! - stubbkrossen - 08-16-2011 Morrowind had a way better story, and way more interesting land and culture. Due to the fact it took place on Vvardenfell in the province of Morrowind. (Land of the Dunmer(Dark elves)). Oblivion has a lot better graphics and fighting system, based on collision instead of the chance of hitting like morrowind has. You Also forgot to mention Arena and Daggerfall which is both great games. Arena the first and Daggerfall the second, but I like daggerfall due to the large world. Morrowind is about 5 km^2 without expansions, but then you run like an 80 year old hippo with broken legs. And by so it seems to be bigger than it is, but with MGE you can actually see how small the island really is. Due to the fact that the villages aren't so far apart as it seems. Oblivion is about 16 km^2. Is bigger and you notice due to the fact that you have a greater view distance than Morrowind. And Oblivon is a really good game, but I have lost much of my interest in playing it since I have played it through so many times. I recommend Unique Landscapes to Oblivon as well as a magic balance mod. Otherwise the magic is quite weak in comparison to both ranged and melee techniques. And sneak tactic is best, but slowest to level up. Oh, and Lucien Lachance rules: Editor ID: 0002fd77. ID that won't escape my mind. |
