You need to Pick up the XP, It stops the lag. After you get a good amount, Jump in lava to dispose of it all, if its floating about it lags.

I don't like the sound of that. Hopefully when 1.8 is installed on the main server, that lag won't exist.

It is an early pre-release test beta alpha version of the actual beta. Expect it to be laggy.
I doubt 1.8 makes it today. Way too many bugs. My guess would be Thursday. Or next week.

Just looked over the entire bug list and I'm tired from just reading it alone, imagine fixing those bugs in 2 1/2 days? Don't believe that's possible even if all of mojang did it but I don't know... they can be miracle workers occasionally. Well actually they are mostly lazy but I think my view point may have just changed.
However, 1.8 is interesting I refuse to play it until all issues are sorted out; atleast I get to watch videos of it

I believe the test server was using the pre-release version of 1.8.

We moved it because it was on a faulty node. Got a new address and we'd like to keep it private for now.
