So a staircase going down straight into a chest room is not suspicious. That hole was naturally generated, does he walk around digging into every hole in the ground he finds, I highly doubt it. -__-

About 1/300 anomalies I check actually go somewhere. Back in 2.0 it was more like 1/50 but this new terrain is crazy difficult for me to notice unnatural patterns in...

Two things:
1: You took a picture from the bottom of the hole, if you look from up top you will see that I dug random protrusions in a bunch of directions, one of which happened to be into your incinerator.

We have explained tho so many times. Our X-ray protection makes blocks completely surrounded on all sides appear to be smooth stone untill they are uncovered. So essentially all things not buried eg chests in a room can be seen by those using X-ray, however those blocks covered eg ores cannot be seen.
