I like the way facepunch has it, but I feel like our forum isn't really big enough for that kind of stuff.
Other forums have "thank you" or "like" for posts, which is pretty neat imo. I might look into it.

And before that, youtube had stars.
It's probably because of facebook's success that youtube started using those.

Youtube got rid of the star system because you either rated videos 1 star if they're bad or 5 stars if they're good.
