RE: Spoutcraft shaders - Ian25 - 04-13-2012

yeah, at night while it's raining, in the desert. *shudders* it's amazingly eerie

For some reason only the shaders option is available to me for graphics settings, everything else is grayed out, anyone know how to change this?

RE: Spoutcraft shaders - Ian25 - 04-13-2012

Either your computer does not support it or you need to change it from something like "auto" or "balanced" to "custom"

RE: Spoutcraft shaders - DjFuzz - 04-13-2012

Yep there is 4 options, which are like Config for Performance, balanced,Appearance or Custom. Select custom and all options will become edit able

K, got that.
It seems that it doesn't like Shader + Far view distance, also, the lighting is rather spastic . . . doubt I'll keep it on.

Yeah, I got Far View and the Shader going and the lightning is indeed weird. Never really bothered to troubleshoot.
But thanks for saying what the problem might be. EWBTE

Far view causes insane amounts of lag when paired with the shaders, unless, of course, you have an exceptionally beastly rig.

RE: Spoutcraft shaders - squiggley1 - 04-14-2012

good computer = shaders on low = ...grey screen... is that even a real thing?

RE: Spoutcraft shaders - geckosquid - 04-14-2012

Apparently so. That's an undesirable outcome. Try allocating more RAM to Spout.

RE: Spoutcraft shaders - yottabyte - 04-14-2012

The shaders really only require a good graphics card to run well. And that's quite funny gecko, since I play perfectly fine on far and with shaders on high Troll
