Looks sloppy, unneccessary, unrealistic (blood spillage over three meters from a punch to the shoulder?), and would cause far to much lag in comparison to its use.
Besides, the redstone part just looks plain dumb.

I'd have to say no. It's far too excessive. If there was like a blood splatter effect, or something like if you hit someone an effect would cause something similar to how redstone lights up to start seeping out of the person - but covering the floor like that is way too much. If the mod is to be taken realistically, you would loose so much blood in one confrontation that no amount of health portions or food would be able to heal you.
