There are actually no arguments in this entire thread yet.

I don't think you understand the meaning of an argument, I am on one side, he is on the other. I argue my point he argues his.

RE: What gives" - Pwol - 05-22-2012

Well to start off I would just like to address the fact that this mod doesn't not help the user at all and is intended to make life a little easier for the everyday builder/miner, not a pvper at all. This mod simply includes things like push to sprint, and toggle jump and what not, things like this just make life easier and have no connection to other characters.

Now to begin making my points regarding the ban of Lewis. Ill start with some of the bigger aspects of the mod such as the so called "auto sword change." To start off this isnt even intended for a pvper to use in combat more for people who hate switching between a pickaxe and a shovel when mining, it just happens to include this "Auto sword switch." This part of the mod its actually more of a pain then a gain so to speak. For example if Lewis had a shovel in his hotbar and happen to hit some dirt whilst pvping the mod would switch to the shovel. Lewis found this distracting in combat and is the reason why he ended up disabling the mod from that point on (No need to fight that fact as I know 90% of you don't believe me). About the brightness portion on the mod, it is intended (Like previously stated) to changes the brightness in Minecraft settings to look as if you changed from moody to bright in settings. All the other parts of the mod are pretty much self explanatory in how they do not interfere with other characters.

I feel that although mostly everybody hates Lewis, that he is a important part of this server and has know the community way to long to be thrown out the door like this. Summed up this mod does little to the other characters in our server, and is only used to help out the average builder.

Dupers where only banned for two weeks for duping in thousands of diamonds and gold nuggets, not to mention building supplies and here they are playing with us today. I think the length of the ban has little comparison to the crime committed

If anything I feel that this incident should be given a much shorter ban (1-2 days at max) as it only helped out lewis mine for a bit. I think that a better approach to this situation would be to tell him to uninstall his mod, and server a very short temp ban.

I would appreciate if the mods could get together to discuss this ban fairly and unbiased, thank you in advance.

This'll pretty much be a repeat, but I'll say this again. Lewis isn't new to being banned. Even if you disagree with his bans, they're still bans (Ian, just don't argue this, Rule 1.1 applies here). Most of these aren't game changing. But, the auto sword, assuming Dj's analysis is accurate, would not be affected by the other parts of autotool because it switches back before the hit is registered, andthe sword swing would still be the same. Once again, I'm not certain myself, just going off of what Dj said. Also, if what Crazy (I think) said was true, then the auto jump actually jumps for you, rather than just being the space bar held down. That can be used to great effect in PvP. And we've already established the problems with lookback. The dupers are entirely irrelevant, along with how long he's been around.

RE: What gives" - NLewis - 05-22-2012

So here is the picture that proves i had Control Pack Installed :

I submitted this picture to Geckosquid to show proof that asdf extremely metagamed.

Gecko asked me about control pack and i told him I only used specific items within the pack such as toggle sneak and push button to run. He said the Control Pack was legal and that he would notify the staff of image to get a verdict on asdf.

The next day, I was ban for using this mod. I was not aware that this mod was illegal or of course, i wouldn't have used it. I have looked through the rules before and it states that mods that give an advantage to the player are not allowed. This mod simply allows a player to :

Auto Sword - Move your cursor to a sword in your hotbar, it does not move anything in your inventory. This does not give me any advantage in a fight because it acts as a key binding for your sword. How many times have you gone into a fight without your sword in hand? How hard is it to hit a number key when you are being attacked? This aspect of the mod is the only debatable feature.

Button to run - Allows me to set a button to run instead of double tapping w.

Toggle sneak - Something you can do in spout.

Toggle Brightness - I would like to make this clear that this is NOT fullbright mod. This feature is useless and simply changes your default minecraft brightness, something that you can do in vanilla.

These mods are simply for my convenience and really do not affect my gameplay against others. I could accept a temp ban, but it is ridiculous that I am getting perma'ed when there are still people on this server who have done much worse.

Doesn't that show metagame on your end?

I don't think /msg is very RP.

So Leech , I ask you this as perfectly good fighter how does jumping prove to be a great effect in PVP? if anything people will find it easier to hit him because he's constantly jumping up and exposing himself. So don't even try that whole argument when you probably haven't even tested your theory out. Please , stick to more logical reasoning and don't make hashed out decisions.

Those messages were sent in Character as a "letter" per say. He knew we were in Character. But this is not the point of this thread. Please stop going on about this.
