RE: Automated server events - bvcxzmn - 11-04-2012 Any new ideas, anyone? RE: Automated server events - guthriearmstrong - 11-04-2012 RFW and The Walls 2. A 2 hour "/c" session. RE: Automated server events - Ian25 - 11-04-2012 Yes, I do like it. And to everyone thinking random people will get sucked in, I'm pretty sure he means like maybe a 7 block radius. Just like the strongholds were back in Revamped. RE: Automated server events - spenboy - 11-04-2012 idea: maybe have an arena, and two people get teleported into the fight with random weapons/armor, and everyone else nearby the NPC gets teleported into the stands, where they can bet. RE: Automated server events - nick11h - 11-04-2012 Automated Build CTF: I'm not sure if this is too complex, and the last server I played it on had it removed due to the lag it created, but it was insanely fun. - Players start in an environment containing all basic resources (Forest, animals, pre-made farm, mob at night, etc) - Mining layers are shrunk down, so bedrock can be reached much faster, therefore, diamonds and iron found in a smaller amount of time. This causes the war to quickly tip in the favor of the side with the best miners. - A giant lava ravine cuts across the middle of the map, dividing the two opposing teams, until they've gathered the resources to make a gym. - Structures, such as burning buildings, hidden caches of resources, easter eggs, etc, can be found around the map. There are countless tactics that can be used: - Build an impenetrable castle and then launch an all out offensive - Get a stack of dirt, rush to make a small bridge, and then stealthy nab the flag, dodging any guards - Channel a pond (Which both sides should have) into the lava ravine and cross the obsidian pathway that is made - Kill a ton of spiders, make bows, make arrows, and shoot down any attempt to make a bridge, by the enemy. Anyway, this was the most popular event on the server it was previously on, and I was sad to see it go. Hopefully, you guys can recreate it. If this sounds too complicated, automated CTF with pre-made maps works too. RE: Automated server events - Crashlander04 - 11-04-2012 I say once a week at random - when the server is above 15 people online at least, two random should be tp'd into an arena to fight each other. Everybody else should be tp'd in to watch. Of course they'd have to be given equal gear. |
