Story of my life.

I'm looking into Computer Science related programs where the number torture isn't too intricate.
I've been finding that algorithms and whatnot are more about following logic very closely, opposed to complex equations.

Skim these:

Also, don't work for EA.
They've degraded into Pay2Win and other evil practices, which won't end well.

I call dibs on a spot.

Okay Idie, I watched the documentary you talked about. Kinda interesting stuff, but let's be honest: nothing new was really in there. Some scientists explaining like you're five how physics work pretty much.

Also, cringing at the cheap special effects and acting. Poor guys must have had a shit budget. Why would they waste so much space on the space craft in the 3d models they had. And Saturn is a gas planet, there wouldn't be big chunks of it splitting like a solid. D+, would not watch again.

Sorry for off topic.

Tongue I liked it. But then again I'm entertained very easily.

Thanks for the links Nick, I'll check them out when I have a bit more time.

Yotta's just stupid. I watched it too and found it interesting enough.

Sorry for being educated, mom.

Edit: The whole thing feels very set up. It's like the producers had an idea from a sci-fi movie and wanted to turn it into a documentary. Then they went around and found random physicists who agreed that it's all a good idea and they'd explain how it would work to make it sound all smart and professional. In the end, it doesn't really feel like this documentary is close to what would happen in reality at all. There's so much stuff they're ignoring in it because it has to fit well with their original idea. And explosions everywhere, to entertain the average tv watcher. Anyway, it's probably one of those documentaries you're supposed to just sit and take in without thinking too much about the facts. I'm doing it all wrong Okay

You do have a point about the saturn thing Tongue

Well, one thing I know I won't be is an IT guy. I give up on my desktop, and probably won't be computing much until my leg heals and I get a job somewhere for around min. wage. At which point I will probably just buy a pre-built computer.

RE: My Future - devilquak - 01-04-2013

It wasn't even a documentary, it was the Nat geo channel, they were just trying to make something interesting enough to attract a lot of viewers. Obviously it wasn't anywhere near what would happen in real life, they left out a lot of stuff, and that's forgetting the fact that if this ever happens, it would be in a time very far away from now, in a time where the human race would be much more technologically advanced and hopefully more prepared for something like this.
