Keep in mind, the ArmA games are VERY CPU intensive. Most likely, it will always be bottlenecked by your CPU. Definitely put some money into that if you're playing a lot of arma.

@bvc, of course you would regret not getting the k, you are a hardware nerd. Sethd doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would care what CPU is in his computer as long as the games run well. Tongue

Most people who badmouth it haven't actually used the OS for enough time to realize that the only difference is that 8 has a more comprehensive start menu.

That may be, but, as Christian, your point is invalid.

Heartfelt. I agree.

You can change anything you want, you can even mix builds for the best parts if you want Tongue Also, if you go with yotta's build keep in mind that it will be a total cost of $1014 because mail-in rebates suck and never work and you won't be able to get the i5 at Microcenter.

RE: SETHD13'S NEW COMPUTER COMMISION - sethd13 - 05-17-2013

In your honest opinion which will preform the best.

RE: SETHD13'S NEW COMPUTER COMMISION - bvcxzmn - 05-17-2013

Yotta's build would "perform" better because it has an SSD, but that does not mean better framerate in games, only faster loading and startup times. Overall, both systems would perform the exact same in games because of the virtually identical internal systems. However, if you went with my build and got a 660ti instead of a 660 it would get better framerate in games and would just be $20 more than yotta's build at $1034. As I see it, yotta's system has the advantage of having an SSD and some extra features with the motherboard and case, but my system has the advantage of being cheaper allowing you to potentially spend that money on a more powerful graphics card.

EDIT: I just realized that yotta's build does not include an operating system, so that is $100 extra onto the cost making the total $1114.

Buying operating systems, lol.
