Ah, I see what you mean. Add a system where even non donors can get the license.

The "abandoned ships" thing is not the big problem. It's to use the little hardware resources we have without fucking everything up.
I can see where the non-donor argument comes from though. I guess we could do it so the higher rank, the cheaper your license is. For non-donors it would be pretty damn expensive though.

Honestly, the people who havnt payed for Sponsor yet have their reasons. It should be every donor status should get ships. Then the fee for non donors.

I like the tiered pricing idea. I think that if someone is going to be on the server long enough to earn 500G or is going to donate any sum of money they would probably not be clogging the air with their ships. Perhaps a very high start-up fee and a monthly "refueling tax" of a certain large quantity of gold and people who are donors get the start up fee waived and people who are sponsors have no refueling tax either?

Gold = 100 gold
Donor = 50 gold
Sponsor = free

Those are a little to high. Most people have around 50g. More or less. It should be something like this.
Non-Donor: 50g
Gold Donor: 30g
Diamond Donor: 15g
Sponsor: Free
50 gold is a lot, it will take a lot of TIME and DEDICATION for any NEWCOMER to get. Unless they are using xray, but even then their intentions are either one, steal from secret chests, or two, get lots of gold from using xray. Usually meaning they are going to stay... Until they get banned from Xray of course, but even then they most likely wont go off and build a ship. Plus mods can just delete random floating ones, well report it to an admin then they can delete it. Mods would block check it to see when it was placed, I dunno how far back the log goes but say if it was placed and not moved (if it can see if it was moved) for over 2 months then they could report it and then it would be deleted. I dont know.

150G is not that much if you're reasonably intelligent....I was thinking 500G and encourage burden sharing so that multiple people are obligated to work together to buy a ship, then there aren't too many ships floating around.

I agree with pavja. Wen a ship is built it will most probably be collaboration of people so they can all chip in for a ship.
