Please no. Just please, don't. I don't want my heart to explode.

This video was just uploaded of some guy playing a horror game with the Rift.

I think playing horror games with this might have long term damage on your sanity. Like honest. That scream was from a deeply terrified soul. The nightmares to come after such a play session. I'm legitimately worried. But I'll still try and play it because #yolo.

I think people might actually die by doing this...

This thing is amazing.

RE: Oculus Rift - yottabyte - 07-22-2013

I just tried the "Alone in the Rift" demo that I linked above. Holy shit. I couldn't get through the entire game. I'm a pussy. Cry

So these things have actually been distributed finally?

No you're not, you're just remotely sane.

Just tried this demo. It is absolutely amazing. Best VR experience I've had to date. I probably looked like a crazy person flying around my room with high tech shit all over myself. Worth it. Had to take a shower after playing for like 30 minutes. So damn intense.

These games all look awesome. Though I hope there's going to be something like RCT3 at the time the consumer version gets there. Apparently there's already a game like this in its beta state that has rift support.

That would be pretty cool. To be honest though, the rollercoaster demo was pretty underwhelming. I need to feel the actual drop and the g-forces for a rollercoaster to be exciting. Which could be done eventually with galvanic vestibular stimulation (google it). One step closer to SAO! Smiley
