RE: A New Age - sethd13 - 12-27-2012 ![]() well then, I think we should shut down the minecraft server, we could survive as a forum for longer, save up the money and maybe buy a Dayz server. I think we should shift away from Minecraft and more towards steam games, clean up the kiwike steam group a little. Lets make the shift from server to community. I think Nick is right , but I don't like the idea of a client side server. I think the idea just has to be creative and not have a lot of coding to do. The one where we shut down the dedicated server for some time, then take the time we need to get something else going without having to worry about a stable income and an active community meanwhile. Disclaimer: As Droid still has full control for another couple of days this is not an official response from the server staff. I mentioned a quote earlier , droid said at the end of revamped we have a stable amount of donations. Did that small time period for when the server was up really eat into the money? But I'm all for closing the server down and restarting when we feel like we have a good basis to start upon ![]() (12-27-2012, 11:29)lordgodfrey Wrote:(12-27-2012, 02:28)MainDigger Wrote:(12-26-2012, 14:33)Unreal22 Wrote:(12-25-2012, 17:55)Gira Wrote: Yea.. Most of the community do dislike eachother. Like seriously the only thing that sticks some people to the community is the sheer dislike of eachother and in minecraft we can attack , destroy and make those people more annoyed. A community in which we all are involved is not going to work , everyone has their groups and differences. ![]() RE: A New Age - DjFuzz - 12-28-2012 (12-27-2012, 22:57)Gira Wrote:(12-27-2012, 22:45)yottabyte Wrote: With the lack of donations, players and spare time within the small staff I think we're currently leaning towards the option giraffe suggested in some thread somewhere. Dont think you realise how much it actually costs to keep the server up, damn economy RE: A New Age - Gira - 12-28-2012 Like 60 dollars a month including the TS? RE: A New Age - Gira - 12-28-2012 Bullshit , either that or you're getting scammed RE: A New Age - devilquak - 12-28-2012 (12-28-2012, 20:35)Gira Wrote: Bullshit , either that or you're getting scammed Yeah, no legit server should cost that much, especially a 50-slot Minecraft server with one world. |
