RE: Kiwike: Revamped - asdfasdflkjty911 - 11-27-2011 Hah, knew it.... This will be amazing. *starts writing RP lore* Can the lore be transferred over? I wana use my robot idea but modified to fit a new land. If not Ill just remake lore that still involves robots... RE: Kiwike: Revamped - Natain - 11-27-2011 I do not think we should be able to have robots, they didn't have robots walking around in castles. This fantasy, but not space age. RE: Kiwike: Revamped - TehCthulhu - 11-27-2011 I think it's good not to transfer the lore. I kinda wanted to get on some of it, but felt that since I wasn't already a part of it, I wasn't allowed to join in. I feel like we have a hard time keeping our new members, and restarting the lore would be a good way to make them feel they can get in on the ground level. I am a little sad to see nomad towns go though. When I was setting up Ruenge, I thought joining a nation sounded like it was going to end in being dragged into a war I had no part of. I felt that nations them selves were sort of a wasted idea, since it seemed people only wanted towns in their nation so they could be the biggest nation and not because they had similar RP interests, similar ideas, or even liked each other. I like the idea of forcing people to be nomads though, I feel like nomad-ism is like puberty: it sucks but you learn a lot and it builds character. I was always dumbfounded with how people wanted to join a town the instant they got on the server. Hopefully after I graduate I can be as invested in Kiwike as I've wanted to be since summer ended and I'll have a back story and what not written out and ready to use. RE: Kiwike: Revamped - geckosquid - 11-27-2011 I completely understand why most of the people on the server would be fine with the lore-wipe. It's those of us who spent countless hours perfecting ideas that can no longer be used or even referred to that will not stand for this. Maybe it's just me but I get bored with my pet-projects within seconds of their completion. The only thing better than finishing something you have been working on for ages is starting something new. Yes, we can start anew, but to do that would be to estrange ourselves from the past we look so fondly upon. For it is this past that has shaped the server and the connections between those who are fortunate enough to play on it. Ridding ourselves of the lore that has been woven would not be like shedding a skin as Android suggests, but rather like tearing out a soul. RE: Kiwike: Revamped - fashionmonkey - 11-27-2011 So will we still have the towny protection tho so only residents/allies can build and break? Creeper nerf in towns? ect..? Will we still be able to make shops? Will the same kinda towny thing work where u claim chunks with town gold? Make your new lore a Senile person. Have him mumble about an old Kiwike, and the happenings of the people? RE: Kiwike: Revamped - lordgodfrey - 11-27-2011 Would be awesome if we could have like information above the character( with the name) like saying your name what race and and country what age. RE: Kiwike: Revamped - Cell - 11-27-2011 In-game? Sounds like a sprout thing. But that would be almost to MMORPG. |
