RE: Sad News and things such as these. - geckosquid - 03-02-2013 Not all of us want 2.0 back. It was fun, but every good thing comes to an end, and I don't think you're remembering that 2.0 went out with a whimper. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - yottabyte - 03-02-2013 The last kiwike server had the purpose of bringing 2.0 gameplay back. We all see how that went. While the game may not be shit, the minecraft community is. All the mature players have already found a server to play on, new servers are left with whining kids and griefers. That's where this game is at. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - Gir - 03-02-2013 Imo I think an RP server worked best , so if there ever was another server (not two) I would hope that it's the RP one. However elements of PVP in a RP server is crucial. Also , Asdf how can you suggest that we make another server when you barely played on the last one? To attract new players we need a specific theme , war is a very attractive term when talking about minecraft servers - and if we can develop that outside the normal -Free PVP- where it's not open world kill everyone you see PVP it'll be interesting , a dynamic world is the best. Edit: The ages thing was pretty cool , however due to no work being done on it , it failed even before it started. Gira out ![]() RE: Sad News and things such as these. - geckosquid - 03-02-2013 We're making the RP server. And elements of PVP are not crucial. There's some dying parts of a good community out there, and they'll be attracted by RP, but we'll attract the bad parts if PVP is introduced. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - Gir - 03-02-2013 Except you know all those willing for RP have already left , and the ones who actually play the server a lot are the ones willing for PVP to be in the new server. If you're still talking about making your server gecko ( with the races and shit), go ahead. But if there will be another official (1) Kiwike server you can't just not include PVP - The sort of idea Revamped had was best. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - geckosquid - 03-02-2013 We're not looking for the same community. Trust me, we don't want most of those people back. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - asdfasdflkjty911 - 03-02-2013 Yah the kiwike community was pretty bad when you look at it as a whole, there was like 4 major cliques and a bunch of little groups of friends, those cliques all disagreed with each other and made the server pretty bad for new players. RE: Sad News and things such as these. - yottabyte - 03-02-2013 Asdf thinking rationally? What the hell happened here ![]() RE: Sad News and things such as these. - bvcxzmn - 03-03-2013 (03-02-2013, 05:45)geckosquid Wrote: I've found that most of the people (most, not all) who still play singleplayer are either those who can't let it go or new people who just troll everyone. ![]() Also, you guys are describing the minecraft community as if it's like 150 people in total. There are nearly 10 million people who own minecraft, and at least 1 million that play regularly. As long as you have good advertising, you will always have more than enough people willing to join the server (assuming the server is well created) no matter the style. Running out of people willing to play in the style that you have created is not a problem. Also, just because you enjoy pvp does not make you the "bad parts" of the minecraft community. ![]() (03-02-2013, 13:59)yottabyte Wrote: The last kiwike server had the purpose of bringing 2.0 gameplay back. Finally, I believe that server failed because of other reasons... namely the reason that we released it a week after we started it ![]() RE: Sad News and things such as these. - Gir - 03-03-2013 It's kind of funny how you're talking about how the retry of 2.0 turned out and yet the staff (including you) is 90 percent of the reason it failed. And gecko , I'm down for finding new people to play kiwike - as long as there's a server I'm happy. But could you possibly tell us how you're going to attract new people? Thanks ![]() |
