I can even make a program that creates the teams for you using the ELO data. Yup it would be nice. RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - yottabyte - 11-27-2011 The heck is an ELO? Anyway, we kinda owned you there. I built one cannon and destroyed four of asdf's ![]() You can't beat me in aiming skills, boy! RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Sir Prize - 11-27-2011 ELO is an internationally recognized ranking system. Used mostly in chess tournaments. But League of Legends amongst others use it too. RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - yottabyte - 11-27-2011 So how would you go about doing that for RFW? RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Sir Prize - 11-27-2011 Every player has an ELO value that starts at 1000, when teams are made the average ELO of one team is compared to the other team, and the program will make them as balanced as possible. At the end of the game, the winning team will recieve an amount of ELO based on their teams ELO compared to the other team. And the losing team will lose that amount. I'm really bad at explaining. ![]() RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Unreal22 - 11-27-2011 (11-27-2011, 22:28)Sir Prize Wrote: Every player has an ELO value that starts at 1000, when teams are made the average ELO of one team is compared to the other team, and the program will make them as balanced as possible. You mean as the one in HoN? But then we would need to see how many times someone lost and won... RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Cell - 11-27-2011 I think I have 4 wins - 0 losses? Meh. RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Sir Prize - 11-27-2011 I wouldn't bother about matches before the introduction of this. Too much non-trivial work on my part. RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Android - 11-27-2011 We should be getting into Revamped more than some Race For Wool. >.> RE: Fourth Kiwike RFW! - Sir Prize - 11-27-2011 Well, this is an outside project. I can't really see it hindering Revamped anyways. |
