I bought a dell XPS 8300 back in december when they were liquidating them and I got a really good deal, $720 for the computer with an i7 2600, 8GB memory, 500GB HDD, and a GT 530. I got a GTX 560Ti to go with it for another $250 and I already had a monitor. I got a really good deal for a computer that can run BF3 on high graphics at almost 60FPS. However, since then, I have upgraded A LOT! The only things in my computer that have been there from the beginning are the CPU, RAM, HDD, and DVD drive. Here are my current specs, and I'm not done upgrading: MOBO: EVGA Z68 SLI CPU: i7 2600 OC to 4.13GHz (the highest the locked multiplier will allow) GPU: GTX 680 OC to 1215MHz boost clock, 3601MHz VRAM clock (7202MHz data transfer rate!!!) RAM: 8GB OC to 1600MHz (used to be 1333MHz) HDD: 500GB SATA 7,200 RPM Case: COOLER MASTER Elite 430 RC (1 x 120mm fan included) Extra fans: 4 x 120mm PSU: 600W Monitor: 21.5" 1920x1080 (Not sure of the specifics, it's about 3 years old) I'm planning on putting another GTX 680 in, as well as a 750W PSU, and 2 more 21.5" monitors. I know, expensive. The total cost for all the parts just in my computer, not including the stuff I took out, is currently $1550. If I go through with the further upgrades, it would be about $2500. It would also be the last time I would need to upgrade for the next 6 years. ![]() RE: Build me a computer. - Crazylol5 - 05-31-2012 I have 2 more fans, they come with the case. RE: Build me a computer. - yottabyte - 05-31-2012 That's some awesome specs, bvcxz. I just ordered 2 new 24" screens to set up eyefinity. I'll be running that from a single overclocked 6950 though.
