Kiwike 3.0? - StayPuff - 06-23-2011
The topic says it all, but the question is, will it happen? With the new adventure update we will have new underground ravines that will only show up in new maps, meaning we won't get this new terrain. So will a new map be worth it? Will it be worth it to put all the hard work and unneeded drama all to nothing?
Now this isn't the only thing to put into consideration. With the downfall of some nations and all the abandoned towns everywhere it might be worth it to start from scratch. Yes, it will suck to rebuild everything we've worked for, but maybe this way we can actually do something with Kiwike 3.0 rather then just litter structures all over the place. This could be a new start for Mavenholm, rather then just let it sit there as a spawn town. Nation's will be able to start from scratch, and more people can join these nations and make them more active because most cities and nations are filled with inactive people.
Now I'm not trying to force a new Kiwike 3.0, but maybe it would be best for the server. This way we can have all the new stuff coming in the Adventure Update and we can clean up the server a bit. These are just things some things I could talk about though, and I don't want to continue talking all day.
Please give some serious opinions on this, everyone is welcome to do so. What is your opinion on a new world or staying with this world?

Interesting idea. I agree, it sucks staying on a 1.3 world forever. It's true that this map has also been trashed about with abandoned towns and houses spread out.
Even though I like what we have now, it's far from how I first imagined 2.0 and it could be a lot better.

I haven't seen much of the server, except the walk from Maven to Ygdrasil.
And what I saw was not that well looking, griefed landscapes as far as the eye can see.
I do believe this server needs a restart.

i for one want a completely new start! a new landscape! and a new life! and ofcourse new gold pockets =D. Also mainly i will want to experience these new ravines without having to pop up my personal MC server with no mods O_O. +1 for Kiwike 3.0.

If we do start a new map it would most likely include a separate creative universe. In this universe we could have saved buildings from old Kiwike maps that are worth saving.
It would probably also have a new homemade town/nation system and the new war features.
However, these are just ideas. I don't want people to go around saying "HEY EVERYONE KIWIKE 3.0 IS COMING".

Idk. I just built my town which means i wouldnt neccesarily enjoy rebuilding but on the other hand it owuldnt be very hard to rebuild especially if i write down the build plans. idk. A fresh start is interesting and it would be fun to the see the brand new world generation in action on kiwike. idk. I think that we should do it on 11/11/11 when minecraft is released that way its likely that there wont be anymore major updates form that point on.

I really like this idea. And Yeah guys please, just because I suggested something and that people like the idea means that it will happen. This is just opinions, not for a final decision, though it could turn into one. Keep it civil in-game and in this thread.
