Either the ship would just sit in midair, or it will crash and come falling down to the ground. And I'm quite sure that it would come falling to the ground.

Mmkay. Any way to make a Kiwiship stay stuck in the air? Like, by placing a dirt block underneath it, and then typing /kill?

Yep! Just power off the Kiwiship by right-clicking the title sign while in mid-air, then /kill to your heart's content.
