1.8 test server online - yottabyte - 09-09-2011
Jeb released a preview glitchy version of 1.8 about an hour ago.
We have a 20 slot test server running at
android.kiwike.se
It will probably crash every now and then though. Rules are basic, no griefing or things like that. Admins will be cheating to get items. Yep.
You can get the 1.8 minecraft.jar here: http://assets.minecraft.net/1_8-pre/minecraft.jar
Put it in your .minecraft/bin folder. If you need a tutorial, you should probably just keep playing on 1.7 for a couple of days. Only for beta testing the beta.
Notice that it's probably still very glitchy and unstable. Don't begin building stuff you want to keep

A little extra note here.
There are some ops on the server that you probably don't know who they are. This is actually a shared private server owned by me and a couple of irl friends, so naturally they get op. Hopefully they can control it while you guys are around

Meh. I can wait for the fancy, polished version. I would rather satisfy my anticipation with the final version than a buggy one, personally.
