Now I know this may sound cruel, and maybe it might make me sound like a griever (I assure you, I'm not...)
But I have an awesome idea for something to do when/if the map is reset. I've heard about a few servers that do this before map resets, and they all respond positively.
So basically, at the last few days before the map gets reset, everyone (or maybe just donors) gets infinite TNT, redstone, and levers.
BAM. We get to have some awesome times on our last days with the map.

Oh lord, yes. Turn firespread on. Although that would wreck quite a few houses REALLY fast o.O
Also, lag is a factor here.

Yotta already said no, since people could use that for their own servers. Don't see why they would want a used map, but whatever.

why not keep the download up for a few days (like 2 :O) then keep the save in case any trusted players never got it

It wasn't confirmed, but from what I can tell, Yotta likes the idea. Most people agree it's pretty inevitable sooner or later, because our world is so used up. I'd guess we're gonna have one when Minecraft is officially released.

That sounds a bit dangerous... Also no map saves have ever been given out or will be given out unless Yotta suddenly decides otherwise. He likes the maps so i doubt this will be allowed even if 2.0 would ever end. Which it wont
