MW3 and children - partyars - 11-07-2011

What Really now?
I don't see any point of putting this into the game other than a scream for attention from activision.

RE: MW3 and children - Unreal22 - 11-07-2011

MW3 = Little screaming girl that wants attention. Mellow

Just ignore it. I really don't care for Cod anymore since MW2 or what they are doing with it. Cod is dead for me.

RE: MW3 and children - geckosquid - 11-07-2011

It's not even emotionally moving. It's just jarring, violent, and yes, completely unnecessary. Activision always says that they put scenes like the airport one and this into the game to add an emotional depth to it, but I have four words for them: It's. Call. Of. Duty. This is a generic first-person shooter, and that's why people buy it. It has become generic over the years because its creators simply are unable to emotionally charge their games, and that is fine with me. What angers me is when they refuse to see that and put pointless scenes like this into the game. I mean, it's pretty damn obvious that children are going to die if a major city becomes the site of a chemical attack; I personally don't need the visual. In games like this, we shoot the enemies because it's fun, not because they blew up some innocent virtual little girl.

I'm not getting the game anyway, though, so I suppose it doesn't matter personally. Just wanted to add my two cents.

''Ebaumsworld'', HEY WE'RE FROM THERE! Troll

Also, yes, I actually liked this scene, I like action and I love the Russians are killing the world principal. It's something else than your average save the world game. YES I AM AN ACTION ADDICT AND I LOVED THE TERMINAL CAMPAIN IN MW2.

Also, I hate the Mw multiplayer and the graphics, so the story is the only reason I'm buying it.
-Stupid Consumer Achievement get.

P.S. They spelled Radius as ''Raidus''.

Too far...

Too far.....

RE: MW3 and children - Cell - 11-07-2011

Getting the game, that was quite, uncalled for. But i'm in it for the story so...

I didn't care for COD when MW2 came out

RE: MW3 and children - geckosquid - 11-11-2011

Well, I got the game.
The verdict:

Pros:
-Freaking badass campaign
-Spec Ops is good fun
-Multiplayer sticks to its guns (pun intended) by using the tried-and-true formula that COD has always used
-More like COD4 than MW2

Cons:
-Plot is, of course, molded around the setpieces rather than the other way around
-Graphics are a hybrid between COD4 and MW2. In other words, they're horrible considering this year's other releases
-The multiplayer is too familiar. There's a reason why I stopped playing MW2: It got boring. This is similar enough to its predecessor that it continues to bore me after a couple of matches
-The sound is laughable
-The FOV for the PC gives me headaches after looking at it for too long

Tl;dr: Get Skyrim instead.

I tried to watch a Totalbuiscuit video where he was playing MW3 in fullscreen and my eyes literally burned out of their caskets.

This is why I pirate games.

A rant on call of duty is its called a zombie franchise, find a formula, get the formula to be addictive to a big percentage of people, sell, sell, sell... ?1?1Huh1Huh!?, profit.

WoW did it.
