I enjoy this server, and I know the people. I come back alot because most of the people are pretty fun to chat with and other severs I have been to sucked badly enough that I just stopped looking. I am Loyal to a fault, like a dog who keeps coming back after its owner has kicked him. I don't intend to leave, but I do feel like I have to voice my complaints that cannot be captured in a roughly fifteen word sentance.
What exactly is the deffinition of 'Don't be a douchebag'? I feel like this needs to be defined in some way that is easily applied instead of a general concept. There are obvious bags of douche floating around the server, but they are tolerated for reasons that I cannot figure out. For now I'll focus on the issue of today.
My twin and I were in the middle of a building project when Nlewis and Pwol found where it was. Ever since, every single item they could get their hands on was destroyed and burned. When we try to build, they raid and take our things, so we cant do anything else but fight them off. We just happen to be the item of the week for them and they love to run around inside, kill us and generaly poke fun at the different things they have done.
Oh did you notice anything different? I'll be back to kill you again! Lolz. Zilky stood in our portal where he was protected by the purple feild and just taunted us. I might say something in ooc, he would repeat it like a parrot. Threaten to report him and all three of them laugh and it gets worse. It is like they lose four years of life because they know the person on the other side of the screen is powerless to do anything to stop them. Why is that?
Moderators are taken from the population after showing themselves dedicated to the server and willing to sacrifice time. Its a good way to filter out the bad nuts, but the result is that we often see moderators who know and assosiate with the players they are moderating. I am not going to fault them for it, just the way it works.
Does Nlewis have friends in high places? Probably. His wandering around and doing what he does also serves to guide new players to join a town faster because existing outside of a town is impossible without becoming their victim or fighting back. And as said before, reporting them causes them to laugh and start doing it more.
Since we began getting these attacks, one of our machines stopped working. A torch was destroyed that disabled the machine so it would operate. A block check later, and it was assertained that the torch destroyed itself. Some kind of glitch. There are obvious implications here that should be adressed. I am not accuseing tristo of lieing. It might just be that the torch was destroyed but the server did not record who did it. My main point is, there is only one group of people who could have done it. We frown though, and get back to what we were doing, fixed the machine, and it worked fine.
Today, It is broken again. Some redstone was removed, and some other things weren't functioning even after it was replaced. Someone busted it, or it was another glitch, I intend to spek with a mod about it as soon as one gets online. Breaking a machine is greifing, from what I am told and I have a vested intrest in getting it justified. Now back to the number one rule.
1) Be Mature, aka "Don't be a Douchebag"
How exactly would this rule apply to Nlewis and Zilky? Everything they say and their motives are juvinile and insulting, certainly not mature in any way. They have been that way for so long that everyone knows that they are. Pwol is less insulting but douchebaging is not just insults and words. Repeatedly attacking someone for the sole purpose of making them angry certainly fits this description as well.
Thats then end of what I have to say for now, I am certain someone will want to defend them though I'll point out now that their main supporters will probably be Gecko, Cell, and Tristo, not to mention the defendants if they bother to read all this at all.
Now that I have been quite cultured and logical in my argument...

1.1 Moderators are always right.
Mods are entrusted with full authority to make decisions based on game rules. This means, when a mod makes a ruling -- do not argue with them in places like the OOC chat or a forum thread!
If you believe the ruling to be unfair, you may file an appeal on the forums. The issue will be discussed among the staff and community. Do NOT spam the forums as that will lower your chances of getting your voice heard, and your thread will be locked.
If your ban appeal thread is locked, there is no second chance. You are permanently banned, please leave.
1.2 Respect your fellow players.
If you treat others the way you would like to be treated, people will generally return the favor. Respect others and they will respect you.
A moderator might decide that you are not respecting other players and are being rude out of character. If they find this to be unwanted on the server, you might face a punishment.
If you find someone to be rude to you as a person (not your character), we recommend you to take screenshots and post in the ban section of the forums.
1.3 No Flaming
Don’t use the OOC chat (/ch ooc) or the forums for flaming other members.
A "flame" is a comment intended to be an out-of-character (OoC) insult with the intention of making another person angry. If you want to argue with someone about a personal matter, use /msg or forum PM's! We don't care about your personal views towards others.
If you want to report abuse, /msg or PM a mod or admin on the forums
1.4 Swearing is allowed in /ch l, but...
We are a diverse community of different ages and sensitivities. While in-character language and the occasional curse are accepted, blatantly offensive language or patterns of OoC abusive or offensive speech may result in a warning/kick and a ban.
1.5 No whining.
No one likes a whiner. Complaining without a just cause serves no purpose and distracts everyone from their fun. Don't do it.
Begging staff members for free items along with asking to be teleported also falls under this sub-section. Admins/Mods are busy maintaining the server and have no time to listen to whining and those looking for handouts.

Herm, not sure why I'm on the list for defending them. Although I have a hunch for it being that Zilky was in my town, might I add checking out what I have done, when he went off and attacked you.
In fact, i'm not going to defend them really. There is a point, where you step over the line of being just a raider and then when you become a douchebag. I knew they raided you, but not to this extent, nor the Machine grief, which could you update us on when you get the culprit?

Definitely sounds like a case of douchebaggery without breaking any rules.

I ask NLewis, Zilky and Pwolbart to get off these people's backs for a while. They obviously don't have the resources to fight you back, and the whole thing sounds very childish. We don't want active players to leave just because of some guys doing things just because "there's no rule for it". Further terrorism will give you warnings.

May I ask how I am being a Douche bag? Killing you and your brother once or twice sure isn't in my mind.. Thats just PVP my friend. I did not "Repeatedly attack you for the sole purpose of making you angry" Just simply fighting back against the person who killed me. Im just doing what I do best, raid. Also, allow me to add the fact that all this wont be happening if your didn't backstab me when I came to visit. I was considering making an alliance... You kinda brought this on yourself..

Pwol, you saying that you are retaliating for actions against you is kinda like... Well let me put it this way.
There is an asteroid going towards the earth, and it is going to hit no matter what. Earth can tell that it is going to do what its going to do, so it reacts acordingly by blowing it up. Now the asteroid presses charges because earth blew it up without ever doing anything in the firstplace.
You have a reputation for joining towns, then raiding them after you get inside. Me killing you was a point of saying 'Hey, I'm not stupid.' No I dont have this thought about everyone, people visit from time to time and I know they arent attacking just admireing the castle. If you are justifying your attacks because you and your groups playstyle / reputation is too predictable, then find some other excuse.
Thank you for laying off by the way, It will certainly be easier to continue building without worrying about you guys comeing along to destroy our buckets or something. Then again, server might restart, I am not sure if that has been confirmed yet but no point in building untill its for sure.
