Why the heck is everyone here bronies? + How did this happen?
No offence, but I keep noticing my little freakin pony everywhere here.
Before I left the server I never saw these. Anyone care to explain?

The amount of bronies, and the attention that the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has been getting has increased a lot over the last months to a year: http://www.google.com/trends/?q=brony,+mlp,+my+little+pony,+friendship+is+magic&ctab=0&geo=all&date=ytd&sort=0
It's sort of like a virus. Someone gets infected and then makes other people watch it. If they like it, they recommend it to other people, etc.
Can also be compared to how Minecraft has been growing.

I really hate the flame war I'm about to start... but I think it's really, really attention whorish. As far as I can comprehend, it's like one of those "I'm so manly I can do this and make it look cool things". Except they have no reputation to back it up.
Like "real men wear pink".

And I'm sorry... You think people watch My Little Pony, a time investment of over 13 hours just watching the episodes through once, so they can look cool, when in fact it has the opposite effect?

With season 2 we are well over 13 hours--it is no longer possible to do an overnight marathon for new episode. Now we have to start the marathons in the day.

Depends on how you're watchin it DJ, some of the episodes can be really dumb story wise but there are other great things in it. The animation quality is really good, Season 1 was directed by Lauren Faust, she also directed Foster's and the Powerpuff Girls, I'm sure you've all seen them or at least heard of them. And the people that work on the show actually listen to the fanbase, take Derpy for example.

I too think bronies are weird in that they watch My Little Pony and take enjoyment from it, but hey, who am I to judge?
They're people too and if I'm going to 'hire' some of the best players out there to become Moderators and they just happen to be bronies, why would I let that get in the way?
And Gecko, don't ask guthrie to take his post back if you're going to go ahead and call him dense anyway.
