I like fallout 1 & 2 better than the new ones. I kind of resent Bethesda for screwing them up.

While based on the same universe, they are completely different games with their own good and bad parts. I like FO3 and New Vegas because I like shooting mutants in the face with lasers.

That's the problem, imagine a popular rpg game suddenly becoming a racing game but maintaining the same title. That's pretty much how I feel about the fallout series. They should have named Fallout 3 something different, because it does feel like a completely different game and not like a sequel.

You're taking the stance of someone who played Fallout before it was taken over by Bethesda, which is completely original. I personally, however, think that the new playing style New Vegas and Fallout 3 were made in trumps that of what the old ones were like.

Sure, Interplay did a wonderful job with Fallout 1 and 2, but let's face it. The Fallout series wouldn't survive if Betheseda stuck to the old formula.

Actually I played Fallout 3 before playing 1 or 2 though even then I sill didn't like it. :/
