No/Bad RP Reasons for killing - Rathrok - 04-09-2012
I know that killing without an RP reason has been discussed before, but what would we do if someone's RP reason is not up to scratch or bad etc. Approx 2 days ago, i was at the inn, when I walked by Crashlander we had the following discussion:
Crashlander: Hello sir.
Me: Human...
Crashlander: Im No Human!
Me: Doesn't matter to me...
Crashlander: Look i'll prove it to you!
He then proceeded to kill me. his reasoning for killing me that his character was a dwarf and paranoid? or some BS like that. i don't understand that how i could possibly know he was a dwarf as every minecraft avatar has the same build. Its like me going and killing someone and my reason being they gave me a funny look in game. just sounds like complete BS to me,
And i can't understand how a reason like that can possibly be justified.

To say there was 'No' or 'Bad' RP reason for killing is either being ignorant, or butthurt, respectively.
My character was actually offended, whether you knew you were insulting him or not. My character, as many can attest to, is a tired and proud dwarven lord - quick to action, very irksome, and impatient (though he tries to hide it most of the time). Being called a human is a huge insult to a dwarf - they consider them weak. Then you went on to dismiss him completely. Add that to the fact that my character has received nothing but violence against him before he came to this land, and you have the perfect storm. (TL

No lesson would be learned if I simply hit you once - not only would you have most likely hit back (attempting to kill me in addition) instantaneously, but you would simply regain hearts and walk away otherwise.
Your character got what was coming to him for being ignorant and rude. That is all.

My point being is that I've never met your character in game. and had no reason to believe that he was a dwarf or whatever, and just because I refused to engage in conversation with you still doesn't give you the right to kill someone. My RP is a madman who's come back to the end. In your terms ACCORDING TO MY RP I would be able to run around killing everyone I met because that was the nature of my character.
And also may i point out that NOBODY in game that has ever had an in depth conversation with your character will never know your a dwarf, there is no physical change to the avatar. so can you stop making up stupid reasons for powergaming and get the pole out your ass.

Your RP does not trump the rules Crash. If the character is going to act like this then you need to change him somehow.
