OH MY SHIT. THEY'RE ADDING WRITABLE BOOKS IN THE NEXT UPDATE.
Do you realise how useful this will be? This will provide so much possibility to lore and rp! people can even take up the job as an author or maybe even a journalist! Libraries can now be legit! Suba's shop will make sense! I have wanted this ever since multiplayer was implemented! I am so happy
Each book holds up to 50 pages and is pretty damn cheap to make.
all you need is a book, an ink sac, and a feather. There is no direct crafting recipe you just throw it in the crafting bench and done!

Maybe I should finish my background history and copypaste it into a Minecraft book when they come out then.
Since the idea behind my story is that other people read it in a book they found in a library.
But yeah, books. Books are cool.

There could be a problem with the "signature" function. It signs the book as your account name.

Just add an extra signature of your Char's name before you end it so people can see who it was RP and OOC.

Yay! I know there was a mod for this in multiplayer, and I think it was suggested at one point - good to know that it's being added in through the vanilla updates!

the first one is my favorite
§k creates randomly changing characters.
§l creates bold text.
§m creates struck-through text.
§n creates underlined text.
§o creates italic text.
§[0-f, hexadecimal] creates colored text. See Color codes.
§r resets any of the previous styles so text after it appears normally.
