Building and Mining techniques - ewdude1 - 03-02-2011 so I don't know if its just me, but i like taking advantage of whats already there in minecraft and building around it. Likewise for mines. I feel like the game is much more enjoyable if you work with the environment rather than the alternative. Does anyone else do the same? Build houses on scenic cliffs over the beach, or construct extremely subtle, yet vast and expansive mountainside hide-aways? I love taking something interesting and making it habitable, with making few outside changes, or a singular, defining aspect that makes that home unique. Or if not home, than some other purpose. For instance, a cliff overhangs a forest or some other scenic scene. (did you see what I did there? ![]() Or when mining- I hate hate hate strip mining. I think finding a natural cavern is much much more exciting =] Thoughts? Comments? RE: Building and Mining techniques - Android - 03-02-2011 I agree with you however I do like to build generic buildings in town like places. As for scenic building, what I tend to do is find a nice large mountain, make the whole thing hollow, and live in it ![]() RE: Building and Mining techniques - yottabyte - 03-02-2011 Oh yes, I do agree with you. The Minecraft landscape is really pretty and I think you should let it stay like that ![]() Example: Some people, when exploring a cave and finds a water source, just remove the water. I like making a little pool or something of that nature instead. RE: Building and Mining techniques - ewdude1 - 03-02-2011 (03-02-2011, 02:23)yottabyte Wrote: Oh yes, I do agree with you.
