Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - StayPuff - 08-10-2012 I would feel silly posting this in just a random thread with people complaining about the 1.3 lag, so I'll just possibly feel silly in my own little thread about it. I have found a way for me to reduce the 1.3 lag DRAMATICALLY. Now, I won't say it will be back to the way things used to be, as I have had a few spikes here and there, but for the most part, I'm running smoothly doing this. Before people ask, yes I have a good computer and with the normal minecraft client I am getting around 2 fps in-game. With that being said, I had decided to try using the TechnicLauncher's version of vanilla minecraft, and when I did, I got amazing results. Now, I'm not entirely sure if this will help everyone by using the vanilla launcher in the TechnicLauncher, but it certainly helped me a plenty of other friends, so I suggest you try it. If it helps, you're welcome. If not, well, at least I'm silly in my own little thread. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Leech - 08-10-2012 Technic has Optifine, which is what's helping you. But, thanks for telling me, reminded me that Optifine is useful RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - StayPuff - 08-10-2012 Well I had Optifine in my normal Minecraft.jar and it did squat for me beforehand. Then I just decided to try using the TechnicLauncher and everything was running smoother. Plus the vanilla jar in the TechnicLauncher doesn't have Optifine. At least, from what I'm seeing. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - bvcxzmn - 08-10-2012 Yea, also whenever I install optifine myself it always results in flashing chunks. It's much easier when it's pre-installed. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Sir Prize - 08-11-2012 This fix created extreme lag for me. I dropped from 40FPS(With Optifine and everything turned down to minimum), to 9FPS (With the Technic Launcher). I suspect it has something to do with the components of your computer, most likely the graphic card. My craptop runs an Intel Family 4 Integrated Chipset Video Card, so this fix might not work for people with that as well. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Crashlander04 - 08-11-2012 Works fine for me, and I'm on a craptop. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Sir Prize - 08-11-2012 Probably something else then. It is most likely incompatibility with some hardware and I'm fairly sure it's not RAM. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Crashlander04 - 08-11-2012 Macbooks have no hardware, it's definitely just bukkit lag. RE: Temp. 1.3 lag fix (Might not work) - Gdp203 - 08-11-2012 Hmm, seems like a fine idea Does it fx latency aswell or just lag in FPS general? But, like I said, it just happened to work for me, was hoping it might work with other people. |
