Pickable Iron Doors? - sethd13 - 09-18-2012 Title says it all. Have at it. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - yottabyte - 09-18-2012 I'm not sure whether you thought this through. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - sethd13 - 09-18-2012 I was wondering if You could code it so as with chests you can pick to open iron doors For a few seconds RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - spenboy - 09-18-2012 well, it would probably act like a button then, and that wouldnt leave enough time to get in.... but if it was leverlike, then people would just get smart and have piston doors, so you place a lever to open it. Ima vote no, sorry RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - guthriearmstrong - 09-18-2012 No. It's been discussed before, and everyone was against it. Just break the door, or leave it be if it's protected. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - Crashlander04 - 09-18-2012 just blockglitch. that's what i do. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - yottabyte - 09-18-2012 Chests are easy to protect with plugins because they're just static blocks. Doors can be interacted with using redstone. It would just complicate things a whole lot and create problems. There was indeed a suggestion about locking normal wooden doors but it wasn't very popular. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - sethd13 - 09-19-2012 Ok lock the thread if you want. Not too difficult, just make it so that when you pic the door red stone stops effecting it and it changes positions, no matter where it started. So if someone decides they want to pic a door in x position, the door will change to y position no matter the environment it is in (x and y would be relative to each other, so y would always have the same hinge as x). Therefore, you essentially make the door a static block (or blocks) similar to the chest. RE: Pickable Iron Doors? - iDieForEXP - 09-19-2012 Bvc, if yotta says its complicated, either it is, or he doesn't want to have something else to work on. Either way, the community has discussed this before and we were all against the locking of doors. |
