Our wolves keep despawning - Kummiseta - 12-14-2012
There was lots of tamed doggies in our town but then they just... disappeared? This has happened many times already and there were no other players on the server so no one killed them. We'd like to have some wolves but there's no point in taming them if they just say *poof* and die.

If they're tamed then they shouldn't be disappearing, but then again I am not so familiar with Minecraft bugs. If you're sure that no one else was online at the time then I suppose that rules that out, though that'd be my first guess. Perhaps someone else knows of this problem.

I would go with Droid on this, but I know that on Revamped, my dogs would always dissappear, and one day some 14 dogs tped to me and I was happy once again. I guess my advice is to just wait :/

Wolves have the annoying tendicy to re-appear when you're not around them. They just appear next to you, it might be you strayed from where you placed them. they re-appeared in the sit position, you did not notice them and wandered off.
So like IdiefoxEXP says, most likely they'll randomly tp back

Reminds me of an instance when I lost about 50 dogs walking into the nether from Drako on 2.0, sadly they never came back and when I returned to the spot they were gone
