Debugging has started - yottabyte - 04-09-2011

Due to all the lag issues we had during the launch, we've started debugging the server.

Basically, we are first removing all mods and plugins and running the vanilla server.
If that works well, we start one by one activating plugins until we find the lag source.

Testing lag needs a lot of testers, so try to get on kiwike.se and help! We are running a temporary map and we just started playing. Just walk around and build, mine etc.

So far it's me, Vikas and Ajaja98. It's looking good this far, no lag issues at all.

I will keep this post updated as we go. Thanks for staying with us through these times! Wink

Update: 10 players online, still no noticeable lag in Europe at least. American and Australian players say they have some lag. Still running vanilla.
Update 2: Bukkit enabled, running most plugins and still no lag. Logging plugins are inactive for now. Some clients have a little bit of lag but it's most likely their connection.
Update 3: All plugins except the logging plugins are running now. I also pasted Mavenholm in the map to see if that could be causing the lag in any way. Teleporting 16 players to Mavenholm created some noticeable player lag when they were moving around, but it was still very playable. 20 players online now, no block lag.

Update 4: Launched the main server without the logging plugins, no noticeable lag at all! Wtf..
