Distance Measurement? - Kubrickb - 04-11-2011 I'd like to come up with a Kiwike standard for measuring distance. I have a name in mind..but wanted to get a consensus about the best x/z conversion. SOmething like Every 1,000 Blocks = League ![]() Every 100 Blocks = 1 block = Paces just toss some idea's around. I would like it to be universal for all future road signs so lets be creative and uniform! RE: Distance Measurement? - MainDigger - 04-11-2011 Good initiativ! Im interested how you came up with League. Please, tell me more. Anyhow, what about like every 100 Blocks = Tenth's? I like Pace on the other hand. Easy to remember. RE: Distance Measurement? - Kubrickb - 04-11-2011 Hmmm....I like a 10 unit measurement....oh call every 10 blocks a Span. So 2 Spans x 2 Spans + 20x20. Still need a good one for 100...I feel like that is going to be the best one for measuring between Cities and with Road signs in the wild. Mavenholm: 8 ________ = 800 blocks away. Bludwick: 2 Leagues 6 ________ and 53 paces= 2,653 (exact measurement) RE: Distance Measurement? - Cynthetic - 04-13-2011 How about a Wik? Dunno, took it out of Kiwike lol. It's short and rolls off the tongue. RE: Distance Measurement? - Kubrickb - 04-13-2011 I like that for the 1,000 Block...sorta like a candle wick....it takes 1 candle Wik to cross the distance! |
