Notch has said in a live stream that he plans on making this a "dream" dimension. You go to sleep in your bed and there is a chance of going there in a dream.
Sounds freakin' amazing to me.

I don't like the fact that android mentioned. It would be better just to choose a time you want to travel there rather than having hopes of skipping night and popping up in another dimension

I Like the Idea of a demension with a cool place like this.
Only i dislike having to sleep to get there.
Seeing as it would feel like playing a game inside of a game for me.
Meaning, you have to play minecraft build a shelter and a bed.
And then while playing minecraft, you have to get a dream to enter the skyrealm.
And there you also have to start all over and build stuff.

I'm down if there's a bunch of new mobs and blocks. If not, it seems rather pointless to me.

Yeah if there is new blocks and mobs for more items, it will be cool to go there for like a limited time to get some fo them before waking in the morning.
