This is a list put together by r/tv on Reddit of essential movies that you have to see. Thank god for this, I never know what movie to watch! This is like a bible to me.

District 9 does not belong on this list. It was a terrible movie.

The list does not say that these are the best movies ever.
It simply implies that these are ESSENTIAL films.
Movies that you need to see for several and very varied reasons.

I'm surprized that they had Howl's Moving Castle, but not Ponyo... But still, it's a great list.
