I realize I am probably way to late to offer any decent development suggestions for Revamped, but since we already have some basic Movecraft based plugins, I was wondering if it would be possible for future extensions of the plugin content.

While I don't know what the plan is in the slightest for Revamped plugins (whether or not content will be eliminated, changed, or expanded on) in the occasion that it is not altered, I would suggest turning blocks (ie; large swinging doors, folding down draw-bridges, etc..). While this is not a huge addition, if added onto our arsenal of fences and extending bridges, this could bring about a new era of design on Kiwike as well as increase the RP era aspect of medieval and steampunk architect.

I don't intend to delay Revamped longer by asking for more coding to be done, I simply ask that you consider my notion and possibly find a way to integrate it into the server in future updates.

As many of us have noticed, the server activity in the last month has plummeted. The forums are still very active for the most part, but hardly any of us are playing the actual game. 3/100 isn't an uncommon sight during peak hours, and I don't believe we've topped 10 people online at once in the past three weeks.

Those that are playing on the current map are for the most part bored, as everything has been achieved, and there is almost nothing left to do.

I suggest that in order to bring back some players to the server that a small temporary server be put up to attract more players back to the game, and to give the existing players some more activity to take part in while waiting for Revamped.

No plugins would have to be installed, but block check would be nice (though unnecessary if everybody promises to be nice).

Any discussion of Cerce is not off-topic in this thread.

In the United States this is called a recall election. Now, not everyone agrees with the mods we have at present and some believe we the users should be able to remove from power those we suspect of misconduct. We know the admins try to police the mods best they can but we fear that our grievances recently have gone unheard. So, I officially suggest a system that users can use to petition for a demotion for any current moderator. Now, my suggestion is to require a petition with at least 15 signatures to then get a vote for the demotion. Then I suggest a 66% majority for the demotion. Thank you, that is all.

So I'm thinking how we protect chests needs a look at for Revamped.

I don't know how many of us really like protecting our chests by placing blocks on them, or how many thieves think it's unfair to have instantaneous protection as previously stated.

Whether or not we are going to make chests better, more efficiently protected, or more realistically, less protected is up to the admins in the end, but I still think we should discuss what would be best.

I have personally seen on other servers certain /commands that lock and unlock chests, and other systems such as magical protection, and custom-entrance protection (set which players you want to be able to enter the chest).

I believe that even though these systems would be convenient they wouldn't be realistic of many of the RP players on the server; not every character is going to know basic chest enchanting spells right off the bat. Do you think minor RP aspects such as this should be forsaken for better protection?

However, I found the lock/unlock commands (on a now forgotten server) to be helpful and more realistic - a player would be just as like to forget to lock the chest as they are to forget to place another block back on them, yet only the player who made the chest would have the ability to lock it (establishing that they have a hidden key or something of the sort).

That's just my 2 cents; I just saw the little discussion on the Guilds Revamped thread and thought I'd make a full thread on it.

So we are all aware of the problems of the 2.0 nether. I understand that a vote was taken when the nether was released as to whether it would be anarchy or claimable, but too many problems have arisen due to such.

I suggest that for Kiwike Revamped that the nether portals or the plot surrounding it at very least be made claimable. Much like the outpost system, this would render griefing and unwanted entrance into one's town or settlement far less damaging. This would also make nether forts far more plausible than before. If necessary, it could be possible to buy more neighbouring plots to expand your protection, but obviously a limited number would be available.

I do not know how this would work for the new territories plugin we (I mean the server as a whole - I am personally doing nothing) will be incorporating into Revamped, but I am sure it would be possible.

I think we're all particularly sick of having the most convenient method of travel on the server being completely unprotected. Between that, nether grief (AKA 'land mines'), and camping nether portals, I think a new vote may be necessary for Kiwike Revamped to establish what the people want.

On Kiwike's minestatus:

Quote:This server complies well for the first little while as long as you kiss the mod's and admin's feet -it is not rare for a call of judgement to be biased (but don't ever call a moderator or admin bias or you'll be hung by your ankles). The community is good for the most part, but common flaming over grudges and subtleties make interaction with towns and nations less then enjoyable. The current map is very small, which causes much familiarity between the regulars, but also causes much hostility during inter-national and inter-town conflicts. Because of the relative closeness and small population, the PVP server is usually dominated over by the laws or treaties of a few nations (mainly one uber-nation and it's allies who make up 95% of active towns). Considering these laws prohibit stealing and killing most fellow players, this utterly ruins the PvP experience, as well as damages the almost non-existent role-play aspect. Also, it is most likely that if you are raiding while not in a nation, or attacking somebody unallied to you, the leader of that faction will declare war or make you an enemy of the state. Needless to say reasonability is not a common trait amongst leaders, or authority. This brings me to another point: as far as the server is advertised, a PvP, Rp experience is not included. Nobody really stays in character, nor is there any standardized lore. Even though X-raying is not permitted on the server, it is apparently very common and easy to cover up. The currency (gold ingots) is in seeming excess due to hoarding and cheating. Many will claim that their gold was rightfully obtained, but it is a matter of fact that when X-rayers are caught the gold stays in the system, either being left in chests, or given to the town they were in. Needless to say, inflation is rampant causing even valuable materials and resources to be worth almost nothing. It's a good server if you like small communities, and can handle a bit of bullshit now and again. A few guys here and there are really cool, and relatively reasonable. It's at least worth a whitelist application; you can judge from there.

While I disagree with some parts of this I think that other chunks of if are kind of true and might be with addressing in 3.0 or in future updates to 2.0

So basically, at the last few days before the map gets reset, everyone (or maybe just donors) gets infinite TNT, redstone, and levers.
BAM. We get to have some awesome times on our last days with the map.

I think you should be able to keep 3 item apon death because just about 10 minutes ago i had saved up around 80 gold and wanted to put it in the bank. I try to go to the perfect and i die. My friend said there was no drops. I ran back in less then 5 minutes(5 minutes is when things despawn) and nothing was there. i lost 1 diamond swordnot the big of a deal and 80 gold (to me BIG DEAL) so i suggest doin the 3 item rule incase something like this happens to someone else who also has a larger amount of a rare item. Also may i have 80 gold(yotta) to compensate for the sh*t in my pants and the cost of the visit from the doctor to chek on my heart (rate was about 300 a min). if you can that would be amazing and not a total waste of a diamond sword and probably 15 iron picks!
Also may i have 80 gold(yotta) to compensate for the sh*t in my pants and the cost of the visit from the doctor to chek on my heart (rate was about 300 a min). if you can that would be amazing and not a total waste of a diamond sword and probably 15 iron picks!

There has been a lot of concern / worry that either:
A) The map will be reset son and everyone will lose everything that they build so they should not start any major project
B) The map will never be reset and we will never get to have fun with new minecraft features

I propose the following solution:
Generate a new 1.8 map then use world edit to replace the center of the map with the current kiwike map. Then use world edit to create a massive ocean surrounding the map's "you have reached the edge of the map" barrier. Across this ocean there will be a whole "New World" of 1.8 terrain and wonders that take work to travel to and explore. If we wanted we could add KiwiShips that were water-only motion and people could sail across the vast ocean to the New World. Nothing from the current version would be lost other than the compact nature of the map (which is a little on the small side anyways).

Are there any reasons that this is technically infeasible/impractical or undesireable? Vote above

I suggest, and this is only a suggestion, that the mods read the rules again. It seems like some of them haven't touched the page in weeks. Like earlier, a mod who will go unnamed said that breaking a block above a chest, stealing from the chest, and then putting it back is not allowed because breaking the block counts as griefing.

No offense intended.

Ok, so i was at maven and saw the arena and thought would be cool to make a living out of battles? It would be pretty cool to just fight to win money you could fight for yourself or be your nation representative maybe even a bet system.

It would also be cool if there was a special place like maven that was like a shop district were people from all over the place would reunite and search for things like a wool shop or a restaurant
ofc starting a shop would require a fee and to keep runing you would have to keep paying that fee (monthly?) some of the bigger shops even have people working for them like miners or farmers!

Anyway that is for my ideas leave your thoughts!

This was my first post on the forum sorry for any spelling mistake and since im new tell me if this is the wrong section :3
If you like my ideas tell them to yotta and make it happen!

i have 2. 1: TownySpout 2: Essentials.
alright so for #1 this is an addition to towny for people who have the spout launcher/client mod. it allows a gui for townowners to change settings easily, makes it so when you enter a town a town texture pack can be automatically installed, and for members of a town you can make a town cape for all members of the town to wear! as for #2 this just adds a bunch of admin and player commands including /mail which i noticed when i tried to mail yotta about townyspout i hope thse are added as they will both be great additions to a great server.

So I was thinking of a plugin that would link your minecraft account to your Forums account and when you Pm someone on the forums you get a alert in game saying

1 New Message : Subject : Waffles Sender : Yottabyte
Or 2 New Messages Senders : Saera , Yottabyte
Just a idea I though of I'm pretty sure it would work like how Minestatus sends you a message in game when you Vote

Hope you like Ma idea XD
