yotta is at dreamhack and is also gay; for these reasons we're hosting a Civ5 game for all of Kiwike to play (you have to have the game ofcourse) the first load of people to come will be those who play.

Ultra Hardcore tonight

The game will start 21:00 Sweden time. That's appx 1.5 hours after this post was made.

Ultra Hardcore is a game mode. Basically no health regen, if you die you're out. Everyone starts spread out in a limited size map and your goal is to kill other players and win.

You can regenerate health if you take damage by crafting a golden apple or making regen potions.

Some of the recipes have been modified though

Ghasts drop gold ingots instead of ghast tears.

Rules

Free for all, so no teams. Teaming up with other players will get you disqualified
No hacking obviously

As always, do not forget to join our steam group to always get notified when we have an event starting. Not nearly all the events get posted on the forum.

Ultra Hardcore - Dec. 15th

Yessir! Ultra Hardcore is a one life, (usually) free for all game where a full hunger bar does not regenerate your health, but an empty one can kill you. The only way to regain health is to munch on a golden apple or a glistening melon. If you've never seen this played before, I suggest taking a look at a few rounds run by Guude among a few other well known youtubers. The only basic rules are no strip mining, and no alliances outside of your team of two (yes, we're going to allow pairs for this game).

I was thinking it'd be best to have this game this Saturday, December 15th, at around 4PM my time, BRT.

That's 1:00 EST and 6:00 GMT

We'll get the server set up and will hand an ip out on game day. You (hopefully) won't need to download and install any mods of your own. To make sure we'll have enough people, please let me know in this thread whether you can make it or not, and who your partner would be in the game - I'll begin an updated list below. Teams and lanes
Everyone gets on the server and we pick teams like you did in the football games in elementary school. Two team leaders pick their team's members. Then two people have a fist fight in the small bedrock area and the winner picks their lane. I hope that's all clear.

The server IP will be announced on Teamspeak when we start the event.

RACE FOR WOOL #02: Direct Fire

HOW TO PLAY:

The map is divided into two identical lanes.  Each team plays on a lane, and rushes to place colored wool blocks on their Victory Monument, the first team to place all the blocks wins.

Each lane is 16 blocks wide, and once the map has started (Both teams leave the starting platform.)  players are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN from leaving their lanes.  At no point may players leave the 16 block width of their lane, and if they do, the other team may, at their descretion, claim victory and disqualify the offending team.  Should an explosion or other game effect move a player off their lane involuntarily, the player must immediatly fall into the void and die (likely to happen anyway, but the player might land on a block between lanes...).

However, players may, upon both teams consensus prior to the map starting, act upon each other with ranged techniques -- as long as the players stay within their area, they may shoot arrows, push blocks via pistons, and use TNT cannons, or other available techniques to harass and slow down the other team. 

(It is in the spirit of the map for players to be as hostile and confrontational to the other team as possible.  In other words, they should be SUPER HOSTILE to each other.)

Should a player die and not have a bed available to respawn at, they must leave the starting platform and immediatly return to their lane.

Players make break blocks, craft, and for the most part play Minecraft as normal, but they must aquire the goal wools from chests in the map, and not use dyes to aquire the wool colors.  Players are also prohibited from moving on top of the map ceiling, should such a roof be present.

Additional Kiwike game rules
We have a few extra rules to make it more fun and fair.

Do not place blocks in the pain water area (lava/water maze) to make obsidian. Buckets count for this too, go somewhere else for water.
Don't enter the lanes until I (yottabyte) have counted down. Crash has no authority.
Have fun! Don't be sad because your team sucks.

We're playing this in 20 minutes from when this post is made. Everyone start at different locations in a 1000x1000 map. You die, you're permabanned from the server. Food does not heal you, but starving will kill you. Winner is the last surviving player.

You are not allowed to play in teams bigger than 2 players.

NO strip mining for gold/diamonds. Cave mining only! You may dig down to find caves, but that's it.

Get the client, install it. I will post the IP when we're starting.

Rules of the server
We haven't really decided anything other than no hacking and flaming so we strongly advice you to hide your stuff.

You have to update your client. Restart Tekkit, when you're at the login screen click options and select "Always use development builds". Your client will update to Tekkit 2.1!

To make it fair, we call the teams 1 and 2 this time. Before the game, one person from each team will be chosen to have a fist fight against each other. The winner's team gets to choose their lane!
