Whenever someone starts getting work done on Revamped, can we also change the donations back to atleast 2.0?

I would enjoy that a lot more, as would a lot of other players.

For instance, Lava would have donated $10 but the server changed to Revamped and he didn't want to anymore. If revamped goes back to 2.0, he would certainly be up to donating.

Just pointing that out, a lot more people would donate there.

Well. Since it seems the majority of the server is going to be working on the new map and will surly be playing there, why don't we unban everybody on the Revamped list?

Think about it. The majority of the people will will remain on Revamped would love to see those players back, those that dont like them wont be playing on the map much anymore to really care. So, why not?

I want it, it would atleast add something for us revamped players to do.

Thanks,
Hope it is considered,

I suggest that Naamandre3 be removed from his position of Lore Expert on the Kiwike Staff under the basis that he has been utterly inactive on the server, not involved in the community in the slightest, and has not shown any expertise in this field due to such.

He has done nothing of any substance to promote or help guide lore in our community even in his few days of activity early on in Kiwike Revamped.

Considering there are many others who are far more involved in RP on Kiwike, as well as far more demonstrated writers, it is an insult to the community to keep Naamandre3 as the head of lore.

Considering the possible chance of a large scale, serious RP server arising in Kiwike's near future (regardless of many options available) I believe it would be in the best interest of the staff, the community, and the server to demote Naamandre3 from such a potentially influential position.

I think we should create one new map. Hard core rp with a twist. You know how. In factions, factions need to declare a conflict before you can pop on eachothers land? Let's do that but include opening chests in that as well. To start a conflict you have to fill out a war application On the forums with a substantial amount of rp behind it that must be approved by admins. This would eliminate random raids against peaceful undefended towns and cut down on the rage quits. If only one party wishes to start the war they must fill out the app and pay a large sum of gn. This would ensure to rp wars and not just greedy bandits trolling for goods.

Concerning the latest poll, iDieForEXP and I have collaborated with our ideas into a much more in-depth and complete idea. We hope you consider our idea, and this can be a project we work alongside all of you to make a success. - Crash

Hey everyone, just here to bring you the latest and greatest idea for the server, Crash and I decided to combine our ideas given the responses we've gotten on the other topic, and it is my pleasure to present to you...

Here it is - Kiwike Revolution, a unique Minecraft RP experience like never before! Following the Medieval fantasy theme traditional to Kiwike, this new map will define Kiwike! This is your chance to take part in a ground-breaking creation alongside your fellow Kiwike community!
Kiwike Revolution is the next step in Minecraft roleplay, offering all the things you love about Kiwike in a new environment!

The Concept

A defining lore, central to the history of the entire land of Kiwike, binds the entire community in an epic story unravelling around us! Nations have risen, new and old, through this grand tale of love, hate, war and peace. The lands in and around them are wild; largely unclaimed forests and hills have been claimed by plant and beast. Few brave enough to venture the wilderness have come back - whether they have settled amongst the wild, or have been lost entirely cannot be known..

This server incorporates the two main fields of RP for Minecraft, while allowing great opportunity for each and every character! Large partially pre-built states or nations make up much of the land - while free to alter environments fill the large space in between them.

Settlements, villages, ruins and artifacts litter the geography of the map for the purpose of extensive roleplay quests and adventures. One may settle and build within one of the predestined nations, or set out for themselves into the wild and make a name as an adventurer!

The Great Wall

A legendary wall like nothing ever seen spans the entire land of Kiwike.. you've always been told it was built to protect us from a great evil, yet nobody alive knows of its true origin..

The Great Wall, an ancient symbol of Kiwike splits the geography in two - the Eastern and Western lands. In the depth of the wilderness, it is left alone - as a border between two worlds. Few experienced travellers know of the ways to move between the two.. the hidden tunnels and secret gates..

The Sides and Combat

In Kiwike Revolution, the best compromise of roleplay is found. The argument between text-based fighting, within RP, and PvP has been solved!

Within the Eastern lands, PvP is disabled to leave space for players to text-fight and carry on with their own creative combat. This type of combat is for those who feel collaborative imaginations can authenticate a combat experience for themselves!

Meanwhile, in the Western lands, PvP is enabled for players who still feel as if they are more comfortable solving RP disputes with the default Minecraft features. Be aware, all PvP must be backed by roleplay reason! No unprecedented ambushing or surprise attacks! Nobody likes an unfair, or unexpected fight.

Worried about dividing the community? We've thought of that! Any player will have the opportunity to travel between the two parts of the map to take place in roleplay with characters on the other side! Depending on what side of the map you are located in, you must follow the combat regulations accordingly!

However, with custom scenario plug-ins based around offer and accept commands, two players may choose to take part in the opposite form of combat! If both players accept, via specialty commands, PvP will either be enabled or disabled between them depending on which side of the map they are in!

Nations, Settlements, and Block Protection

Several nations will be prebuilt partially in order to efficiently enter into full roleplay interaction with other lands, and serve their citizens. These nations will be predetermined, with a constant theme throughout. Plots will be available for citizens to move into and build on, under regulated theme and quality - there is far more security in a large nation than in the wild!

Making use of the astounding new custom plug-in, Territories (coded by owner and admin, yottabyte), players will be offered the best block protection available on Minecraft! With customizable plots, ownership, and permissions within settlements, Territories exceeds all expectations and supplements roleplay perfectly! Banks and blacksmiths support the local economies with Iconomy, and Kiwike's custom Locks plug-in.

For those who wish to build more than on predesignated plots, the ability to create your own settlement with your roleplay characters has been made available in the wilderness! High-quality RP and building requirements are a must for custom villages or settlements! Remember, the setting is just as important as the event! With a group of 5 or more players, a small settlement may be established and given block-protection, once quality has been confirmed by a staff member!

The Wilderness, Quests, and NPC Settlements

The wilderness in Kiwike is a resource rich, alterable, and largely unpopulated escape from the nations and states of the land. Though the land is freely alterable for the sake of gathering resources, ugly and non-roleplay structures (or underground bases) are unacceptable and will be removed. Small, realistic camps are acceptable as temporary residences.
The reason we do not allow players to build personal forts or houses in isolation is to make sure all players are social or at very least interactive, and to keep the wilderness as natural and uninterrupted as possible.

Amongst nature on either side of The Great Wall, NPC (Non-player Character) settlements and ruins scatter the land. They offer quests, activities, or simply supplement roleplay by offering new settings and information! The goal of these prebuilt settings is to make sure all players have exciting roleplay to take part in beyond their own personal tale!

Your Character, Your Adventure!

Along with this intricate new lore, revolves your character! An in-depth and detailed background for your character is a must if high-quality roleplay is to be expected!

From a select group of default species, you may choose your character! This, though slightly limiting, is a requirement in order for the lore to make sense! If you believe you have a species idea that would fit well into the dynamic of the server, you may submit it to the staff for consultation, and it may be added to the list of acceptable species!

Remember, in order for any system of roleplay to work you must have all types of characters. Not every player can be a king from a far away land or an all knowing wizard - in fact, it would be even more encouraged that your character start off as an ordinary citizen or nomad for the purpose of building up your tale. It is recommended that your character be original and have at least basic, realistic goals - but watch out, you don't want to pigeon-hole your character into a boring niche!

Your character can start off at any number of settings - starting off in a prebuilt nation, or wandering in from the wild! Visiting settlements, other nations, or simply exploring the land will help your character start off their adventure sweepingly! There is much to do and lots of time! Apply with your character today and good luck!

Suggestion #8 - Megabuilds: Please vote or input opinion.

I suggest that the ability to enter creative mode or at very least the necessary supplies be granted to players for the purpose of building large RP related structures. Megabuilding is common on many other servers, and offers many opportunistic aspects to RP.

Epic fortresses, giant walls, mountains, towers - anything that would lend to epic RP or expanding on the possibilities of a theme. RP/NPC filled, interactive villages could be sponsored by the server for the sake of exploration. Custom dungeons could be built and hidden for unsuspecting adventurers (I'm serious, if anybody builds a dungeon and spoils the surprise by telling a friend where it is I'll slap them) and monuments could be designed for ancient civilizations - text could be left behind as clues for server hosted quests.

Players would need to submit a private or public application to a staff member given that responsibility, which would then be accepted or denied. Of course the builds would have to be realistic, but megabuilds are generally rather large.

The player, if given creative mode, would have to be supervised properly to ensure proper use of such abilities - or perhaps a special build mode that would eliminate the ability to do anything but place and adjust blocks (removing the ability to store cheated items). If all creative mode ideas fail to show promise or security the builder can be granted the materials needed for their megabuild.

Any megabuilds that are to be created must at very least have some reasonable aspect of public use. That is to say, one could not build a fortress and claim it as their own singular property - but instead use it for a faction's base. A massive wall could not be constructed around your property, but may adorn the side of a town or nation. Of course interactive settings would be interactive with the public - or adventurers who stumble upon them.

(Even if this suggestion is denied, the staff itself may want to invest in one or two of these ideas as projects for expanding RP)

I suggest that the idea of giving sponsors their own designated NPC for the purpose of their choice be offered. 50 dollars is a lot of money, and NPC's add nothing but creativity to the server.

The NPC's would have to be within RP use, reasonability, and theme, but would be given one time - customizable dialogue (similar to those in the Inn). This would add depth, RP possibilities, and further inclination to donate to the server.

I believe there would be several very creative, applicable uses to stand-still characters especially within towns to orient RP. However, before an NPC can be placed somewhere, the owner of the property (say a town owner or so) would have to be consulted in order to maintain and confirm theme.

I suggest that players who have been banned previously to this point in time be unbanned in attempt to gain back some players to the server. Any players who truly wish to play on the server under the rules and regulation should be forced to reapply with either a new character in the whitelisting forum, or discuss how to properly continue with their previous characters to promote activity and RP.

This could be organized through forum activity, removal from the whitelist before unbanning, and if necessary, further conversation with staff leadership or assigned staff.

Players should not necessarily be held to a single negative action. I personally know several former players that regret their mistakes, and would do their best to play as a conductive member of the server if unbanned.

I do not believe all bans should be permanent - nor that anybody we have banned so far is eternally evil and destructive to the server. We, as a server, have a history of unbanning permanently banned players as a precedent - most of which situations have turned out for the better. If, however, players do continue to break rules they can always be banned again.
This not only would promote a new way of looking at punishment, but also define a change in the compassion of our community, staff, and server as a whole.

I suggest that the plug-in 'More Player Models' be added to the server in order to support the almost unlimited options more serious, or diverse RP characters wish to use. This plug-in allows for additional models to be used in game, instead of the basic Minecraft player shape. Tails, wings, horns, snouts, and other notable appendages are available for customization.

Support for this plug-in's player-side use is completely optional as far as I am told.

Whitey should be forced to help the server with this since he is the only community member I know for a fact is familiar with it.

A demonstration video (youtube anyone?), including a screen-captured walkthrough of how to manage the player-side aspect of this plug-in should be made available via our own server. This would undoubtably help advertise our server, in addition to helping our own player base significantly.

That one plug-in Zammie was talking about that lets you sit on stair blocks like chairs should be added too.

If a certain building is possibly inhabited, owned, or filled with property of a player - they should be contacted before hand and given sufficient ability to remove, fix, or move out of the structure themselves. If the legitimacy of the structure is contested by anyone other than the assembly a discussion should be made on the forum for validating, or invalidating points to be presented in an orderly fashion.
A project, even as little as one person, should be set up to create unique (honest) representations of Kiwike in order to gain new RP oriented players. The ability to fly should be granted to video makers at least temporarily - maybe even to those inclined to take screenshots for possible banners.
In the end, the media devices should be reviewed and selected by the community (for the sake of community approval) to be then distributed, and featured via Kiwike authority.
Casual advertisement should be encouraged - I suggest an in-game gn (you can decide) benefit for each player that somebody recruits to the server.
I suggest that the staff as a whole, but more centrally the game moderators be given guidelines of moderation to follow instead of punishment. While punishment seems to be the easiest, and most basic form of enforcement in the game - there is very rarely a case in which a permaban is required.

No situation is ever black and white - so why should verdicts be made up of but two options? While temporary banning is necessary in some cases, I feel it is far too overused as a punishment.

Though the difference would be of course slight, and almost more of a recommended approach, I believe that moderators should take part in the basis of their name: moderation. If a player breaks a rule (or is suspected, or blamed of doing so) - they should be interrogated thoroughly, warned, and made to work towards fixing that rule breakage.

Of course, if ignorance of the warning is demonstrated clearly and purposefully, then a temporary ban may be applicable.

This is an online videogame server and, though regulated, Minecraft is made for people to have fun. Permanent bans for people who wish for second chances, and honestly wish to continue properly should not be made indefinite for past mistakes. Forgiveness, tolerance, and compassion aren't going to ruin the server - and we do have rollback capabilities if anything goes wrong.
