Luca wakes up to the sound of rustling paper, and got out of bed. He went downstairs and found Oakley, the royal family courier. Luca, shaking his head humoured, asks Oakley," What in the name of the Divines are you doing here in the middle of the night? And how did you find Subterra?!" Oakley, clearly tired from the trip, replied," Letter...Rowan...throne...you!" Luca tells Oakley to sit down and catch his breath. Once Luca gets them both a cup of water, Oakley opens his mouth,"It has happened again." Luca, pondering what could have happened a second time, asks what happened. Oakley gives a desperate look,"Luca, I know that you know." Luca's glass breaks under his grip. His body has gone ridgid, his expression blank. Oakley gets up to get a cloth and bandage, and wraps Luca's hand. Luca has fallen apart, the tears flowing down his face like Drogma's famous river, Salinos. He can't understand why they had to strike again. Hadn't they gotten enough enjoyment out of killing his father? He tries to calm down, and gets to a stage where he can talk to Oakley," Did...did they find the killer this time?" " No, I'm sorry. Your brother was a great man, Luca. Nobody like that deserves to die. Now, with Rowan's death, you know what must be done." Luca nods, and goes upstairs to pack his things; his royal robes, his father's bow, and his father's biography. He sits down and writes a quick letter to the inhanitants of Subterra about what is happening, and lets Oakley know he's ready to go. They climb the long ladder to the surface, and dissapears into the forest, off to Drogma to become King.

After hacking away at a birch tree for hours, the load of the logs became a burden. Guthrie stashed his ax under a nearby leaf pile, and turned back to walk home.
Upon stepping foot at his doorway, Guthrie looked down to see a small baby dwarf lying at his doorstop. The child was sleeping peacefully in his cocoon of rags.
Guthrie reached down to pick up the baby boy, at which point a small parchment fell out of the rags. Guthrie carried the baby inside, lay him to rest on his bed, and then proceeded into the hall to read the parchment.
The parchment read as follows:

My dear friend Guthrie,
The village of Fortinbras has fallen. I am growing sick, unsuited to raise a child. I am entrusting you with my only son, whom I have named after you. His mother and grandfather died in a raid three months ago, on the child's birthday.
After hearing news of your recovery from corruption, I have decided that you would be the ideal stepfather for young Guthrie. Raise him, train him, and help him to reclaim Fortinbras.
Guthrie set the parchment down in front of him, and sat silently. While it was understandable that Gorad was sick, Guthrie did not live in ideal conditions to raise a child. He lived in solitude, and lived off bread alone. He had only just recovered from a maddening bloodlust.
He left the hall, and lay in bed beside his new son. Guthrie Jr, as Gorad had named him.

((Just some explanation as to why Cerce left in-game))

Brick upon brick, stone upon stone, a castle was being built. Cerce moved the many materials on top of one another, creating a basic lower wall where once there was nothing. It was painstaking work, taking hours - sometimes days - to create sections of the wall. But Cerce carried on.

He had been working the better part of a month like this, with occasional help from Varutil, Saera, and others. Varutil had since left the castle for parts unknown, although the bond they shared still resounded within himself. Today, it had come time to quit and return to his temporary quarters in one of the unfinished guard towers. Cerce laid down his building materials, and tromped off to sleep. He entered the tower, shutting the door behind him, and he laid down upon his bedroll.

Something wasn't right. He stands up again, and he looks out the window. A stunning view of the ocean meets him, as usual. He turns back to his bed, only to see the familiar figure of a stunningly handsome man with a black cane and suit laying comfortably on his bed.

Nomanic Carver was on his bedroll.

"Oh, so nice to see you again, Cercey-boy! That is what the dragonoid calls you, right?" He smils coyly. "How cute."

Cerce's hands clench. "What... are you doing... here...?" His anger and fear is displayed clearly through his stance.

"Confused as to how I'm out of the black box?" Nomanic chucks. "That never did contain me. It's just a nice place to... relax, away from the rest of the stupidity that are the ever-expanding realities of this existence. Why you ever thought you could contain and seclude me from the world, I'll never know." Twirling his cane in a quick fashion, then placing it firmly on the ground, Nomanic then stands up to his full height, at eye level with Cerce. "As to what exactly I am doing here, I'm just reminding you of our standing agreement."

Cerce scowls. "You mean my slavery."

Nomanic looks offended, throwing his hands up in a mock attempt to stave off the supposed lies. "You wound me with your words. Indentured servitude is much more becoming of our agreement. You cut my heart out, I rule your life until I get bored. You agreed when you tried to kill me so many years ago."

"I don't have to put up with this. Get back in your box, by the name of the One!" Cerce walks towards the door of the barely-constructed tower, and yanks on it. Beyond the door, however, lies literal nothingness. Cerce closes the door, and turns slowly back to Nomanic.

Where once there was the inside of the tower, there now lies a small lounge room, complete with comfortable plush sitting chairs. Two cups sit on a table, a bowl of sugar in between them. Water boils over a fire against a wall of nothingness, which cannot be accurately described. It appears as if tea is being prepared. Nomanic sits at the table, occupying one of the plush chairs, and motions for Cerce to sit.

"It's time to face the facts, Cerce. Vacation is over." Nomanic sighs, looking at his cane as he twirls it. "First, you went against what I wished. You denied Varutil the book which I gave you... Poor soul is probably wanting of a truly informed conversation. You even went and got yourself tied up with a demon - and a demon nearly equal in power to me, at that." As he turns to face Cerce, he stops twirling the cane. "Second, you became detatched with the Warlords. You were supposed to bring them together - create a stronger Kiwike, so as to protect the slumbering land until it awakens. You failed." He brings the cane down on the floor hard at the word 'fail'. "Thirdly, your building sucks. I mean, cobble? Really?" He chuckles, pouring himself some tea.

Cerce then finally seats himself, knowing now that his time in Kiwike is over. "Alright... Then I'm going to have to leave to do whatever it is you want me to do. Again." He scowls once more. "This isn't going to end, is it?"

Nomanic grins. "Define 'this', if you would be so kind."

Still scowling, Cerce then asks, "What of my companions? Varutil, Rhasa, Cell, the Warlords, Gekk-Va, Inkscale... Saera...?"

To this Nomanic drinks, uttering a muffled 'Oh!' as he does so. "No, no, don't worry. You'll see... Those closest to you will remain in a form, be it the form you know or something new. Two of them, specifically, will remain. I'm sure you can figure out which two can survive for a hundred and eighty years. I'm sending you to the future, not an alternate realm." The dark being smiles, sitting back in his plush chair. "Oh, the fun times that shall be had... Politics, intrigue, racism, war - Hey, we might even get a hint of sex if you play your cards right!"

Cerce blushes slightly at the thought of Nomanic's last topic. "Please tell me you aren't sending me there to procreate."

Nomanic bursts forth in laughter, almost intentionally spewing the hot tea all over Cerce. "Oh, no, no. I'm not nearly that mean."

Cerce sighs a breath of relief. "Thank you."

Nomanic smiles. "I meant I'm not that mean to the women. Anyhow, you're being sent for the same reason you were sent here: Unification. Apparently you were not motivated enough on your 'vacation' to Kiwike. Know that if you fail here... Consequences beyond your imagination will befall you, your friends, and realms beyond our touch. The Tether is not an artifact to be overlooked."

Cerce appears puzzled. "The Tether...? What's that...?"

Nomanic ignores him, and continues. "You will be sent 180 years into the future. Humans rule, and the majority of other sentient life-forms are forced to become subservient to them, under threat of military action or starvation. For the record - it's partly your fault. Someone saying they hate elves, even as a joke, can spread racism to future generations like wildfire. Your objective is very, very simple this time around: Unify the two peoplegroups. It's not rocket science. I'm sure you'll do fine."

Still puzzled, Cerce asks, "Rocket? Science?"

Nomanic rolls his eyes, again focused on the cane. "Oh, how ignorant our little Cercey-boy is. You'll see. Now, get back in bed. We've got a lot of waiting to do if we're going to get 180 years into the future." The coy smile re-appears on Nomanics face, and Cerce's vision fades to black...

*A large mallard duck arrives at the desk of King Godfrey with a scroll of paper. He reads the paper and nods. This will be good for the future of the two nations, he thinks to himself.*

Mallard Park Agreement

This agreement, bound on the first day of the 9th moon, holds the terms and conditions of the Alliance of the Elven Nation of Eil and the Realm of Enc'ela. Under the leadership of The High Council of Eil, and King Adam Godfrey, respectively, the two nations agree to give their allegiance to one another for the purpose of mutual prosperity and peace.

The two bound nations shall adhere to the following terms and conditions shall the alliance be upheld and respected. Failure to commit and follow such should result in either immediate attempt at resolution or modification of this document with the signatures of the official from each nation, or else the agreement be left null and void.

Both nations shall support each other with the commitment of military and political power should one nation be threatened or directly aggressed against. Military coordination is to be promoted, and a ranking system of military respect shall be instated to avoid conflict for each nation.
An embassy shall established by each nation within the other, within as close proximity as possible to the building limits of the capital city. Each embassy shall welcome the other's diplomats, and offer refuge and security to each others citizens. An ambassador shall be appointed by each nation to ensure thorough communication and strengthen ties.
*on the stand next to his bed, Genesis picks up a blank book and grabs a quill and ink, dabbing the tip in quickly and opening to the first page.
Entry one

I don't know how I am properly doing this, but I've decided to keep a journal to recall my events of the days that pass. Maybe if I lose my memory again I'll have this around to remind me of who I am.

I was traveling with the boy who was separated from his sister in some mansion fire, his name started with an A. I'm bad at names...gotta work on that. We got separated after a good while and I was running low on food and was being chased by various beasts. I eventually got on a path and was running until apparently you needed a redstone torch to open the rest of the patch, which I don't own, so I tried to cut though, near death. I obviously failed. Eventually passed out and went delirious. Whitey, the leader of Amos, thankfully found me and took me there.

I recovered with his help and saw...I don't know what it was honestly. Screaming and pain...then silence. I wish I was in full strength at that time so I could've helped. After all that I spoke with Whitey and I joined his city, got a plot for free and I might even join the guard. The second in command of the city, Theo, apparently thinks the guards are incompetent however...so I might change my mind. Maybe the mercenary work is my way. I'll try it out, see how I like it.

I'm working on my house, got the basement worked on a bit and the floor of the second floor is done. I'll finish it eventually. While working I met a little girl named Prima, who's actually 64 and a lesser demon. She invited me into her house and let me spend the night on a couch, not having a bed of my own. Apparently not all demons are bad. I'll have to remember that from now on.

Just so I won't cause a ton of confusion when I use them and so I won't have to explain how they look/act 999999 times, I'm going to give an overview of the black blades.

Name of the blades: chitin blades
What they are made of: chitin (no really?)
Ejection location: underside of forearm, like a mix of the Assassin's Creed hidden blade and weapons from Prototype
Length: half the length of his forearm
Strength: the blades are only as strong as iron and will break, causing massive amounts of pain, if enough pressure is applied.
Appearance: The blades are sharp and pointed, black with red veins running through them. When people see them, it is supposed to be considered "gross" or something like that.
Abilities: The blades very literally are an extension of his arm, so he is able to feel with them, just like fingers that aren't flexible. The veins on the blades are also able to break open on command, releasing blood. They however, cannot shut automatically and will need a bit of time for them to close. This can be used to good medical efficiency if the patient is in need of blood.

It is to my deep regret and sadness that I must convey this message, but a great tragedy has happened. King Gnught Wolfbane of The Midland Monarchy has passed away. This has all the hearts within The Midlands broken and saddened, but we will grow from this misfortune, as we will grow from everything. Let this be seen as a new age for The Midland Monarchy. Because of this loss as former second in command of the nation I, Torkin Ouri, has taken command as king of The Midland Monarchy. I, King Torkin Ouri of The Midland Monarchy, wish to bring reform to The Midlands, and to all of kiwike. I seek peace and greatness in all of the lands of kiwike, and will rule mercifully and justly.

As my first act as King, I declare that The Midlands be changed into a modified democracy! I will stay as semi-permanent ruler of The Midlands with the highest authority, but the people will vote on all internal affairs and decisions. Additionally, as stated in Gnught's will, I am promoting Spencer to High Tzar of The Midlands.

NOTE: This is may or may not be IG. This thread is strictly for those interested in this well developed story of the nation. It MIGHT be IG if enough people are interested but other wise this is just giving out the information about Notlet.

Notlet. A nation still standing from the ages of the Paralium empire. We start off with Iknowa Vaer. The founder of the nation. All that's known is what happened after he arrived. Nothing is said of how or why. Some think he was a adventure from Paralium and decided to make his own rule when he found this secluded land. Of the stories that went he sailed across two oceans before arriving.... Then he encountered Mount Worlica (WOL k lay).

He bravely with his crew of men and women slowly went up the Mountain to find the horrors within it, It was the way in and out of Atlay, The others required much more skill, ropes, ladders, people, digging, It was the only path that was clear. As they went down its east side at-least ten people were lost. It didn't stop them. The east side was amazing. Flat, fertile, green, plains all over. Forests spotted the landscape here and there, enough for a balance. Iknowa knew this was their land.

Settlements began to be made, the capital Carno. A clean polished city. The lands expanded until the coasts stopped, all of this continent as some said was under Atlays control. Because of the limt of space they started making colonies, the most notable Berma. It was on the land of Mercala and today the land is known as Mercala due to taking control from the native tribes. Slowly, as it was known, other people found their land. Around Atlay in the islands city states were made and a untroubled sense of life.

The Days of the frontier:

When the frontier became known two known characters from Berma were alive. Elizabeth Listovits/Arron/Tama And Drovka mek Arron. In the early days of the frontier it is said Mrs Elizabeth had a impact. Afterwards of her death Drovka mek Arron was to train her son in the ways of a group known as the Jays. A reblious group for which at the time in Atlay prices and life were rising in tension due to the democratic volume going down. He trained Matt Tama who later refused to cope. He also tried to marry a woman named Rosie but left finding her plots to kill him. Later words after the frontier fell to anarchy Notlet was made after the overthrowing of the tyrannical leader. The Atlay name which was known by shame thrown away.

Present day VIA Kiwike time:

These days Notlet lives in peace, having its large multitude of grass lands and forests barely untouched. Also its strange animal wildlife a plenty. Currently the only notable characters outside of Notlet are Miss. Ariana Littlefoot who is related to Mrs. Elizabeth Listovits.
Hello intrepid travellers, my name is BlueScope and in this presentation of the fabulous feature film "Kiwike: A Doctor's Tale" I will be playing Roland Nai.

Roland is a character I have used several times, and his story has carried me across two different post-apocolyptic RP servers. In the past I have set him up as a genetic engineer, but I feel the same basic character traits of a will to aquire knowlege, experiment, and dominate remain the same. This is his story.

I will update this post as I see fit, adding to his story as it happens.

Before Kiwiki
Roland Nai was born in a small, isolated village. His father was the town's only doctor, and an important member in the community. One fine day, a woman was brought into his hut, suffering bite wounds from an unknown creature. He treated the woman, and found that she was a sorceress of mediocre talent. As he treated her, they grew close, and married. Roland was born on a rainy day, the weather forshadowing his dismal future.
From an early age, Roland showed interest in the art of magic, and was trained by his father as a physican. It didn't take long to put two and two together. Roland wasn't interested much in the actual healing process, the real attraction was in the functions of the body. Why did this man's appendix explode, and this man's was healthy? Why did this travelling elf have a greater resistance to deasise than a human in his village?
Roland's talent as a magician bloomed upon the discovery of a simple spell, but one with infinite permutations. The spell of changing life became his mistress. Though he found that it required a fair amount of magical energy to perform even the simplest spell (Requring a magic circle to focus the energy, and occasionally a pricey ingrediant.), he was none the less enchanted. The villagers started to notice rather strange, but harmless, creatures around the village. Birds with the legs of spiders, but no wings, rats with the huge eyes of owls.
Things took a turn for the worse when Roland turned 26, his mother on her deathbed. Her leg was being eaten away by infection, the seeds of which were likely planted all those years ago by the monster that bit her. He decided to use his talent to take action.
He purchased a simple potion to make her sleep from a passing trader, and began his work.
He dragged her limp body to a magic circle of his own design, placing her decaying limb into one part of the circle, a few nuggets of gold in the center, and on the other side... the hind limb of a recently deceased dog.
He watched with a mix of horror and fascination as the limb of the dog severed, and stretched to human proportions, and the leg of his mother turn to ash. The nuggets of gold in the center of the circle burst into flame, consumed by the intense concentration of magic they were designed to channel.
The result was not recieved well by the people of the town. His mother was killed, and Roland fled, fearing for his life.
He spent the next few years of his life drifting, settling down in a strange desert for a time, where he found his skill could be marketed.
The people of this strange desert were decidedly less pickey about those who inhabited their land. Walking along a desert rode one day, Roland came upon a man combatting a scorpion of monsterous proportions. He hid beind a large boulder, knowing that he was far too unskilled in the art of swordplay to even begin to assist the man. The man won out against beast, but in its' death throes, the scorpion's claw severed the man's arm. He quickly feinted from the shock. Roland looked from the scorpion to the man, and back again. He knew what he had to do.
Using the man's sword, he cut off the claw that had claimed the man's arm, and drug the man back to his home. Using his last few gold nuggets, he hastily constructed a magic circle, and created another monster.
Far from being upset, the man was delighted with his new appendage, and upon finding out the power of the scorpion's claw, he paid Roland a small sum of gold.
Roland held the gold in his hand, smiling. He had found his place in the world.
He spent the next few years performing similar procedures. The shell of a the scorpion proving, when the proper magic was applied, to make a mighty armor for a customer, albiet a piece of armor he could never take off. The fangs of a desert snake, the nose of a cayote.
All was well for a time, until a rival tribe killed the more accepting peoples of his adopted village. Despite the numerous magics of change he had applied to his people, they were overwhelmed by sheer mass. The rival tribe viewed them as monsters, and Roland has their creator. Again, he was forced to flee, to a land he knew little about.
Kiwike.

OOC Information

Alignment: Neutral Neutral (True Neutral)
Roland is out for number one, but that doesn't make him a bad man. If he believes that helping someone will result in a greater benifit, he won''t hesitate to lend a hand. However, the same is true if he feels he could do without someone.

Personality:
Roland can be characterized by two primary character traits, intelligence and charisma. His long studies into the sumblime art of magic, compounded by his father's training as a healer have provided for him a unquie insight. Just as having to convince hostile tribal leaders that magical modification really is in your best intrest, and you should pay him to do them, has helped him develop a charming personality.

Character Motivations:
Beyond advancing his own knowlege and power, Roland has long observed the long life of the elves, and desired it. He seeks nothing less than immortality, at any cost.

Factions:
None at the moment, still exploring and getting a firm grasp on the world of Kiwike and its politics.
I have heard news about the eviction of Shyun Kym, which is pleasing to me. He and his followers were the source of our issues. Now, I wish to resolve our differences and make peace once more.
*a letter is posted at the inn and to the leaders of the different nations

I Shyun, declare separation from Midland Monarchy. I will be taking along my companions)).As I see it they are imbeciles who are poor, and is run by an idiot who has made many mistakes. I also fear that the war between them and The VermIllion Dominion is going to be lost. I also declare the Midland Monarchy incapable of running a nation as they now only have 5 people in it, and that they will be taken down for the other nations to claim over their land. I will hope that you clear all of the items that you posted on my recruitment tent at the inn in a week. I now ask for alathar to be disbanded even though I paid for it with all the block protection down, and for the approval for me to blow it up.

The start of a new nation. I Shyun Emporer of Toa hopes to be friendly with all nations across Kiwike. Of course if Enc'lea if you still wish to wage war with us that is fine. Enc'lea the only reason why I killed your citizen was, because he did not merely want to answer my question and he has insulted me before also. Since Sahure decided to take it personally I don't not mind it's all good. I do not beg forgiveness, just to be neutral with you. As for Midland I hope that you get destroyed as a nation, because the leaders do nothing, but beg their citizens for money and fail In times of war.

Sincerely Shyun
