This page is about the old Kiwike 2.0 server and is not in any way related to the current Kiwike servers.

The Viking War was the first Kiwikian war and took place within the first month of Kiwike 2.0's release. The war involved Helvanthar and The Vikings of Eyvind. This war is where Helvanthar first made its military's strength be known, and the fact that it would stay there for a long time to come.

Rising Action

From before Kiwike 2.0, political ties between SirSuba, leader of The Vikings and Android24557, leader of Helvanthar, had always been stretched. The two nations did not necessarily want war but it was called for when two Viking members, NLewis and Pwolbart, attacked the encampment of Cerce, aspiring nation leader, and Kubrickb, master of the roadbuilders. The nation of Helvanthar and the nation Cerce was working on at the time, Cerantia, agreed to help each other out. When the attack took place, it was made known throughout the Kiwike world fast, and Android took action. Speaking on behalf of Helvanthar, Android stated that he would not have the Vikings attacking his allies, and would prove then, during the early days of 2.0, that Helvanthar had the military might to remain a static nation, as is the case today. Thus started the Viking War.

War

Seeing as Towny War was failing the needs of the server's player base, it was during this war that it was taken out, thankfully. As a result, the war was compromised of several stealthy raids and strategic tactics. Helvanthar's stance here, unlike that of later wars, was to end The Vikings as soon as possible. Various tactics of The Vikings, however, were somewhat crude, such as that of placing mines under the Southern Road leading to Bludwick. Master of the roadbuilder, Kubrickb, took great offence in this and from here we gained the rule disallowing the destruction of national roads. In the mean time, The Vikings also set up several different outposts around Bludwick, of which only one was found and thwarted. Helvanthar also had a strategic advantage in that they gained a spy within the borders of Eyvind. To say the same for The Vikings is not known seeing as how SirSuba had not released the information.

The End

The war ultimately ended in the griefing of Eyvind. Android announced that he had no part in it, and it consisted of several rouge raiders. The players were banned and the damage was rolled back but SirSuba refused to get back to work, after seeing all of his work being ruined. SirSuba then ran off in exile along with a few close friends.
