:The Diamond at Tullius
Located inside the great capital of the nation of Tullius, The Diamond is a casino which allows visitors to play games of chance and win large quantities of gold. It is owned and operated by pavja2 who also constructed the building.
The Structure
The Diamond is one of the largest and most technologically advanced structures in all of kiwike. It consists of three floor and contains over 3000 square meters of interior. Constructed primarily out of wood, glass and glowstone the building also uses smoothstone (in the game Minecart Run), sandstone along the top of the structure, iron blocks on the inside wall of the atrium, and diamond blocks both on the roof and inside the atrium. All of the games are automated by redstone circuitry. The building is fully serviced by an elevator located in the center. The elevator is the first to be constructed in all of Kiwike and enables customer's rapid ascent to whichever floor they select. The first floor consists of two games of chance: "Triple Spin" and "Minecart Run". On the second floor one can find The Shops at The Diamond. The third floor consists of two games of skill one is "Kiwijack" a modified version of the classic game "Blackjack" the other is "Piston wars" - a fast-paced two person game on which bets may be placed at the adjacent betting table. The roof of The Diamond consists of 16 stacks of glass in a majestic pyramid. Topping the pyramid are 4 diamond blocks and each of the 4 edges are constructed entirely out of glowstone.
The Games
Triple Spin Pressing the button causes each of the dispensers to dispense either an arrow or a random item. If the first two dispensers both dispense something other than an arrow a block of gold will float down the stream to the player's left. If all three dispensers dispense the player wins the jackpot prize, a sound will play and the light in the lobby will switch off if this is the case. PRICE: 1G for 2 spins PRIZE: Either 1 Gold Block or 200G Jackpot!
Minecart Run After the button is pressed the machine has a random chance of dispensing zero, one or two minecarts. If both minecarts fall the player wins, if only one minecart falls the player is permitted to purchase additional attempts to make the second fall without the game being reset. PRICE: 1G per spin PRIZE: 12G (For grand opening odds on this machine are extremely generous)
Piston wars A slightly modified version of the classic minecraft game "rainbow fighter",Piston Wars places two players in a fight to the death using only pistons. Chests are provided for temporary item storage as no armor or weapons are permitted inside the machine. Players who are not as skilled at strategic fast-paced gameplay may place bets on the winner at the counter to the right of the game. Unlike the original version there are also pistons at waste-level that may also be triggered to strategically trap players adding a whole new level of gameplay to this minecraft classic. This is a skill based game meaning that their are no odds and with training one can consistently win. There is room for fairly nuanced trapping strategy depending on the deployment of ground based pistons.
PRICE: 1G flat rate service charge to host a match. Bets are placed with the Casino by both players and non-players a 5% deduction will be taken as a house charge from every betting pool. PRIZE: (Total money paid to betting table)/(Number of people making the correct bet)
The winners of all games will also get a sign with their name and the amount they won placed in the lobby.
Shops at The Diamond
Shopkeepers may lease or rent kiosks on the second floor of the diamond at which to sell their merchandise, however due to limited space there are rules concerning the operation and ownership of kiosks. Owners are forbidden from placing anything on or at their kiosks other than: wool, plants, signs, chests. Kiosks must remain the same size and no blocks may be destroyed by shopkeepers. Chests may not be placed in the floor. Kiosks cost 15G per month to rent and can be leased for life for only 40G. Renters must be the only persons with shops at their kiosks.
