It's not so much that they aren't read as much as it seems that the staff doesn't communicate their thoughts or opinions on it. Im not saying that our mods aren't doing their job, but I'm saying more effort to communicate with the rest of the server would do a lot towards repairing this apparent rift between players and staff.

I see what you're getting at. It causes problems though, because, honestly, even some good suggestions get pigeonholed because of unexpected problems, such as difficult implementation

That's very true. But would you rather have that good suggestion sit there and not know what the staff thought or would you like to be told:
"Damn Leech we wish we could do that. Sadly Bukit doesn't have any mods capable for that. We really wish we could do (x)."
It shows that instead of just saying "Thats nice." they took time to look and see if it could happen, putting more value on the players and their ideas.

If you look through a lot of the suggestions made in the past there has been comments made by me and the staff on the majority of them. If an idea is generally liked by the community, I always look into what we could do to make it happen and try to leave a proper reply. The suggestions recently have mostly just been whining about server inactivity and not about the game functions.

That's why I opened up my op by stating how the frequency has decreased.

Also I understand that it has more recently been simple disputes, flaming, and whining. Honestly my opinions on how to address those issues are a bit extreme and might not be as effective as they are wanted, but that's off topic.

On topic I simply wanted to say that a bit more open behavior to the players can make a huge difference. I'm not saying that the staff has to accept "jetpacks and lazours" as suggestions, but at least be direct with the people. Good suggestions are soley on the players shoulders.

Thank you Android, Yotta, everyone else for responding. The idea of open discussion and attempting implementation was exactly what I was looking for.
