Minecraft Username: legolas0008
Previous RP experiences: It started with Neopets, then moved on to MMOs like WoW (I was to be feared even on Moonguard). I have also dabbled in D&D, but not much.
Have you played on any other servers? Why did you leave?: Nope, I'd considered it for quite a while, but hadn't been able to find a server laid-back enough for me to enjoy (until now, hopefully).
What feature of Kiwike are you most interested in?: The overall atmosphere of a polished, friendly RP server, which I have yet to experience for the first time.
How did you hear about Kiwike: I was told of its allure by a friend of mine.

General Background Information:
It was the very heart of winter. My beloved Yuki and I lived in the cold mountain village of Glaciem. I had lived there since the day of my birth, but Yuki had come from a land much warmer. She was not used to the harsh mountain weather, so I always stuck close to her to keep us both warm throughout the nights. On one agonizingly cold day, we were told by the village sages that our food supply was running low and we wouldn't survive even one more cycle of moons. When this happened in our village, it was usually requested by the sages that the most fit and healthy of us go out to gather food for emergency rations. It seemed that Yuki and I were deemed the two most fit for the task.
We geared up quickly and carefully. Being the coldest time of the season, I was unsure of what exactly it was we would be looking for. All but the heartiest of flora and fauna would be warm and comfortable in their burrows, especially in the area where we were headed, the ridges of the Tenebris Mountains. I had heard talks of fierce animals living near the peak, creatures adapted perfectly to the frozen land. However, I had never seen one firsthand.
Without even so much as a map, Yuki and I set off into the fog of the mountain. I was expecting that we might get lost before even finding anything acceptable to eat, but thankfully that wasn't the case. Before much time at all had passed, Yuki began to explain to me what we might be looking for. Since she had moved here years after her birth, she didn't take the land for granted as we native villagers did. Since the day she moved here, she was fascinated with all parts of the snowy land, including the plants that grow on it. One of the sages had told her of every single plant in the region that would be safe to eat. While we were nearing a low ridge between two mountain peaks, she alerted me to a group of plants, and I began to pick them at once.
It all happened so fast. In the time it took for me to bend down and grasp the edible plants, I heard the scraping of claws to my left and, immediately after, a cry of terror let out by Yuki. By the time I'd turned my head, it had nearly vanished back into the snowy mist, but the glimpse my eyes had endured will stay with me until my last day. It looked like how one might imagine a cross between a bear and a direwolf, but this was different. Not only was I sure I'd seen near-humanlike qualities in that instant, the creature also looked like no wandering animal I'd ever seen. Its fur was caked with blood and other substances I couldn't even begin to classify. Not only that, but this creature looked as though it had already met its fate with Death. I can barely even explain it, but this creature was giving off an aura of disease and pestilence that not even the most feared sicknesses provide to the lives they take.
While still on edge of the horror I had just encountered, I was again exposed to shock. Yuki's scream had ruptured the integrity of the snow that rested on the surrounding mountains. Within seconds, it was hurdling down toward us from all directions. There was nowhere to hide. In spite of the cloudiness of my mind in those moments, there is one thing I had remembered clearly above all else. Yuki still was not nearly as used to the snow as myself and the other villagers, especially not when it's on the verge of encasing you in an icy grave. I thought quickly, grasping her hands in mine at first. She immedately shook her hands free, and instead, wrapped her arms around my body as tightly as she could. Instinctively, I followed. This is my last, most terrifying, and most beautiful memory: The two of us as one, forming a single spark of hope before being lost to the depths of the snow. As the snow filled the last cracks of sunlight above our heads with soft, beautiful darkness, I prepared for my death.
As I was waking, I nearly wished to myself that I was simply dreaming in the afterlife. However, instead of consciousness slipping away, it only continued to come back to me. As I was still trapped inside my snowy tomb, my first instinct was to escape, before even thinking about who or where I was. I dug myself out quckly and effortlessly, which would have been a near-impossible feat before, let alone doing so after being buried in snow for what could have been a century. My body was as quick as it ever was, somehow, but my mind was not. I couldn't quite comprehend my situation at the time, but looking down into the hole I just escaped from, I realized that I was the only person in there. My darling Yuki was nowhere to be found. Once I realized this, I remembered the village and the ones who were counting on Yuki and I. It was our task to bring food back for the village. Not only did we quite literally freeze ourselves trying to do so, but the village was also nowhere in sight. I don't know if it was because I had been frozen for so long, or because the avalanche had reached the village and encased it as it did to Yuki and I, or perhaps even a combination of both scenarios.
At any rate, I looked down toward the bottom of the mountain ridge, and could swear that I saw civilization in the distance. Not a single landmark I recognized, by any means, but I knew that any being I ran into would be more welcoming than the endless snow. I had been alone in the dark depths of the avalanche for far too long, and I knew that someone down there was bound to know more about the land than I. And that, kind strangers, is my tale. I thank you all for listening.
Physical Condition/Description (what do they look like, what do they wear, all physical elements of a character):
Though Glaciem was an isolated village, it was not a poor one. Solus wears a thick purple jacket with a brown leather undershirt. In addition, he wears royal blue snow pants, brown leather boots, and brown-red leather gloves. However, after being encased in the snow for so long, the coloring in his clothes has faded away almost completely. The only color left in him is on his lips, which are forever blue from the chill on the mountain. He has medium-length black hair is caked with snow, and is also somewhat dirty after overcoming his ordeal.
What is your character's main objective? What do they wish to gain out of this experience of living?:
First and foremost, Solus hopes to find a trace of his long-lost love, Yuki, and he intends to ask around any nearby towns in hopes that someone has seen her. He also hopes to discover what happened to Glaciem, the village he is convinced faded away into nothing because of either the avalanche or lack of food. Lastly, he is curious as to exactly how he survived in the snow for potentially a century or more, and not only that, but how he's capable of moving and thinking as if he'd not been asleep for a minute, let alone many years. In the meantime, he hopes that any people he finds in the land now unknown to him are friendly, knowledgeable, and will help him get started with what might as well be a new era of his life.
