Graphics Card Problem

I have a notebooks graphic system with radeon HD 6xxxm series running on windows 7 64-bit.

i was trying to update my driver and it repeatedly says: AMD catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer.
The Version of your graphics adapter is not supported.

so i downloaded the optional update, but that downgraded my card so i now cant even run minecraft. if anyone can help me to figure out how to update my graphics card or at least get it back to what it was a day or 2 ago, please help.

well if you go to the website for amd graphics which is for radeon graphics, it downloads and automatic updater, and what it says i should be able to run wont work and that message pops up. it is also like this when i fill out their form and put 6000 instead of 7000
