Ideas for Chatrooms
/ger would be nice for there are i think at least 4 people here, talkin german.
/othercountries - just write in here, if you think you are enough to have a channel

/ch l - LOCAL - range 20 - is already there.
/ch s - SHOUT - range 45 - could be useful (and in light red maybe? <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /> )
/ch w - WHISPER - range 2 - could be VERY useful (maybe gray colored)

/ch cityname - CITYCHAT - range: the city - everyone can hear this chat. even people who dont live in the town

/ch chatname password - sets a new chat with password.

Unnecessary really I was looking at the code in the current chat plugin and it has a whitelist feature.

You can make a channel and add a whitelist to it.


There's already a local chat.
There's already create-able chat channels.
There's no need for whisper would conflict with msg.

The yd range is a cool idea though. I think I might add that in for creatable chat channels.

Regular user created = Max 75yd. VIP = Max 200yd. Premium = 350yd. <= For city chat channels. "/ch create citychannel NAME"

If it hasn't been said already, and I think this fits in some what with Local chat, but I think there should be a separate chat for all members of a certain town and/or city. It would most likely go along with the idea of adding a whitelist to the chat in which the mayor would have control. This chat would most likely be used if for example a miner needed help and the people weren't so close but he was in the outskirts of his own town and would also be used for shopkeepers announcing sales or anything of that sort. Of course the mayor would keep track and monitor the channel as a sort of mod for his/her channel.

Once again sorry if it's been said but I'd like to think I went into much more detail with this specific idea.

I also think Global Chat should be obliterated. If they person needs help, let them get into a town chat or go to the main city which should have at least one mod roaming about at all times. Again, this goes toward the realism of the server.

Still agree with the global chat going away for citizen users. however I do think mods and admins should be able to use it forimportanr announcements. Maybe also VIP and premium userscan use it?
