Map Edges

Are the Edges of the map being shifted from time to time?
Or being re-made

Since i'm exploring alot more i'm seeing patches of wild grass appear.
That would have to mean they are there since the 1.6 update.
Or someone has been placing random patches of wild grass.

So, are they being re-made?
if so, with new gold pockets for me to explore and mine?
Or.. am i being trolled?

IIRC not everything within the map limit has been explored. There's still some areas to be generated. And nope, the big gold pockets can only be found on the original part of the map.
