Breaking light scources
Natain and i have a home filled with everlasting fire on nether rock alcoves, making sure we stay mob free at all times.

However Nlewis and his little gang of merry men have been running through breaking every fire in the place causing mobs and especially creepers to spawn all over our home.

I'm willing to kill him left and right and all day to keep him away, but this is turning my home into a chunk of bloody Swiss cheese!

Requesting some help. He continued to break the fires after I had mentioned it was against the rules in ooc chat.

Is it against the rules?
Well, until a Moderator post's on this as to what is or isn't, or if you have talked to one, etc. Might as well place down torches until it clears up.

Yeah, this sounds like it should be against the rules, I mean, breaking one or two fire sources here and there or even torches wouldnt be so bad, but they clearly know what they are doing and are doing it on purpose. From their background I question why they havn't been banned yet, after all this would be like their 10th strike or something...

RE: Breaking light scources
This isn't about their background Asdf. I will give them credit for stretching the rules to their limits, but not breaking them, and this might be a case of that.

RE: Breaking light scources
I do not quite understand how this is breaking the rules.... I simply put out fire, I did not break any blocks, take down any torches, or do anything against the rules to that matter. It was not my intent to make creepers spawn, but instead to wreak havoc in the fort of Natain and Alphonse.

I see now that I am ban for 1 week. This does not make much sense to me....

Could a mod please explain?

RE: Breaking light scources
I believe the intentional breaking of light sources on large scale should be considered grieving.

Lighting fire uses up flint and steel, and torches use up materials. This is material destruction. As well, the definition of grieving isn't only placing or breaking blocks, but causing grief (no duh) on purpose. This is indisputably what you are doing.

Granted if this precedent is to be set just now, I don't believe a week long ban is necessary.

RE: Breaking light scources
Since these fires were used as light sources, you were effectively breaking light sources. And as such, your punishment is fit.

I wish I was an insane space wizard.

Yes, to be honest, non-staff members that aren't even related to the case at hand should keep out. Most of your comments help nobody.
